Off again ...

The DS and I returned from Cape Cod / Boston on Tuesday.

My father recognized me and the DS when we got there on Wednesday. I made peace with him - he hadn't been able to talk but he choked out that he loved me and cried. I will never forget that moment. Ever.

That was the last time I saw him open his eyes or hear his voice - he was unresponsive the rest of our visit. I spent 12 hours a day at the hospital, holding his hand or talking, reading him any news on the Red Sox that I could find ...

The DS was wonderful while we were there. I even got to see my enclavian sister Belle for drinks one night. I needed a night away.

He was transferred to a hospice house on Tuesday. I got to view it twice and it was lovely, I was comfortable with him being there.

So, Wednesday morning after returning to work I got the call. My father had passed away Wednesday morning. He went very peacefully.

I had debated, due to lack of funds, about being able to fly out for the funeral. My coworkers were great and provided a beautiful sympathy gift to help towards travel expenses ... I value them all so much.

I am leaving tomorrow morning and will return on Tuesday.

catching up ...

I have a lot of stuff going on in my personal life right now ...
The DS and I are heading to the Cape on Friday to spend some time with my father. He's been in the hospital for 2 weeks now and I worry about him. He has cancer, well, just about everywhere, and my stepmom is a Saint and God has been answering her prayers. The cancer has spread or is growing; and they have now found a tumor in the brain. I was planning on taking the DS to Boston to go to Fenway this summer but I have decided to up our trip to now so we can spend time with family. Hopefully I can still take him this summer as Boston is truly my most favorite place to be.
I was going through my camera and found some fun pictures from this summer ...
This is the DS at his 8th birthday party ... he loves being an ARMY guy ... his teacher tells me his passion for writing Army stories is the most intense she has ever seen ....

Here is the DS rock climbing at the Children's Museum ... this was a fun day!

I have a million more pictures to upload ... I have been busy snapping away! I need to start scrapbooking again; I just haven't had the time.

Sing with me now ...

"We are the Champions, my friends ..................."

YAY !!!

The 2007 Boston Red Sox SWEEP THE ROCKIES !!!!

Does life get any sweeter?

The first thing I noticed when Tek ran to Paps was that be put the game winning ball in his back pocket ... that gave me a nice chuckle amongst the joyous tears I was shedding ...

Does this team get any better? Seriously? Does it?

Bobby Kielty comes in to pinch hit and friggin homers ????? Rock On Brother !

Lester proved to be the man ...

Lowell dominated ... I was happy to see him chosen as MVP ... It could have been any of them ...

I am so overwhelmed with happiness right now; it is making the bad things in my life float to the back of my mind ...

Enjoy fellow members of Red Sox Nation ... we always kept the faith!

Proud Moments ...

Well, Game 2 of the WS was a nail biter for me. The Lord shined down upon us and gave us a 2-1 win over the Colorado Rockies at Fenway. I will take whatever win I can get for my favorite boys (other than the DS).

My favorite moment of the game: When Papelbon outed Holliday on 1st base ... got the call from the dugout - and M.H. didn't have a prayer ...

I am off to Madison, WI this weekend ... it is my final birthday in my 20's ... so I am going to do it up right ... what better place to go for Halloween weekend ... I will have to throw together some kind of costume before we leave ...

I have set the DVR in the offchance that I will NOT get to watch Game 3 ... however my friends said we can go SOMEWHERE to watch the game ... which is good thinking on their part if they ever want me to talk to them again (only kidding) ...

Have a good weekend ... Boston is off to Colorado ... I hope to hear some Red Sox Chants ... Red Sox Nation is EVERYWHERE !!!!!

I want 2004 Schilling !

We all know Beckett's the Red Sox Ace ... and we all know Schilling likes to compete with him. If Beckett can do it, so can he ...

I am hoping that is the attitude Schilling goes out on the mound with tonight. I want to see him strike out the first 3 batters in the 1st inning tonight ... I want to see Pedroia homer again in the 1st ... I want big runs scored ... I want a WIN tonight ...

These Rockies are nothing to us ... I want to smash them into oblivion ... I want to make them cry to their mommas and daddies ...

So, we know I will be in front of the TV wearing a Red BoSox shirt, my RS socks, hat, and a pair of yoga pants ... sexy huh? I have worn this outfit for the past 4 games and we have won those said games ...

So, Schilling, show us another stellar performance tonight ~ please channel that 2004 Schilling - the one with the bloody sock !!!!

And let us Pray ...

Our Father, who art at Fenway...
Baseball be thy game,
Playoffs need to be won,
On earth, then on to the Cask'n'Flagon.
Give us this day, the perfect Papi,
And forgive us our losses,
As we forgive those,
Like Eric Gagne.
And lead us not into desperation,
But Deliver us from any loses.
For thine is the power
And the Glory
To beat the Rockies
Forever and ever...
Yankees Suck.

Amen

We Rocked You !

Wow.

The 2007 ALCS Champs are none other than the Boston Red Sox. My Boston Red Sox.

They completely dominated the past 2 home games against the Cleveland Indians.

Saturday 12-2 (B)
Sunday 11-2 (B)

Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youklis rocked my world last night. They "filled in" for Papi & Manny ! Coco made an amazing final catch to win the game on Sunday ... Papelbon's facial expressions are friggin priceless. P.R.I.C.E.L.E.S.S.

There are so many words and emotions right now - I am completely and purely elated. I had tears of joy. The DS looks at me last night and says "Mom, I have tears too." This is such an amazing feeling. NEVER count this team out - ever. They were down 3 games to 1 ... and came back to win the next 3 to become the AL Champs !

How cute was Kevin Millar throwing out the first pitch ??? In case some people didn't see it, here's Millar's Rally Cry ...

Ok - I will have to come back later - I am so happy still ... I am at a loss for words !!!

~ Zip, Zilch, Nada ... ~

I have nothing to say.

I am pissed at the world.

Thanks, have a nice day.

** ClapClapClap ** Come on boys ... Let's clean house!

So tonight we have Game 1 of the ALCS at Fenway.

I am so happy our boys made it here - they deserved it ... now let's just stomp the crap outta Cleveland and things will be going just the way they thought they would.

My lover boy Josh is on the mound tonight ... this boy has HARDLY ever let me down - he made a big promise earlier this season and he's stuck to it ...

So, I will be going home in 38 minutes, have to pick up the DS from school, buy munchies at the grocery store, and pop on a Red Sox hat, shirt, and socks - sit on the couch - and ... "root, root, root for the home team ..." YAY !!!

GO RED SOX !

beatings and MFY's ...

A child custody case was held in court. The judge felt that the mother and father were both fit to be parents and therefore couldn't decide who he should grant full custody to. So he asks the little boy, "Would you like to live with your mother?"

"No." said the boy.

"Why not?" said the judge.

"Because she beats me.

"The judge says "Okay, then you'll go live with your father."

"Oh No," cried the boy, "He beats me too."

Dumbfounded, the judge asks "Okay who do you want to live with?"

"I want to live with the New York Yankees."

"Why?" asks the judge.

"They don't beat anybody!"

Leave it to a man of God ...

There was Red Sox fan who was feeling pretty down on himself. For whenever saw a Yankee fan in their obnoxious pinstripe jerseys walking down the road, he would swerve and pretend to hit them.

As the man is driving on he sees a Priest walking down the road. Feeling he should do something good, he stops next to the priest.

"Where are you heading Father, can I give you a lift?"

The priest replied, "I'm heading to the Mass two miles down the road."

As they are driving along the man sees a Yankee fan walking down the road, instinctively, he swerves to hit them. He knows he did not hit them, but still hears a loud THUMP.

He says, "I'm sorry Father, I should not have tried to hit that Yankee fan."

"That's ok," replied the priest, "I got him with the door."

Singing all day long ...

I woke up singing this song this morning ... it's a good day ... PLUS I am going to see Dropkick Murphys in a month !!! I can't wait !!!

Tessie is the Royal Rooters' rally cry
Tessie is the tune they always sung
Tessie echoed April through October nights
After serenading Stahl, Dineen and Young

Tessie is a maiden with the sparkling eyes
Tessie is a maiden with the love
She doesn't know the meaning of her sight
She's got a comment full of love
And sometimes when the game is on the line
Tessie always carried them away
Up the road from Third Base to Huntington
The boys will always sing and sway
Two! Three! Four!

"Tessie," "Nuff Ced" McGreevy shouted,
"We're not here to mess around

Boston, you know we love you madly
Hear the crowd roar to your sound
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Tessie, you are the only, only, only"

The Rooters showed up at the grounds one day

They found their seats had all been sold
McGreevey led the charge into the park
Stormed the gates and put the game on hold
The Rooters gave the other team a dreadful fright
Boston's tenth man could not be wrong
Up from "Third Base" to Huntington
They'd sing another victory song
Two! Three! Four!

"Tessie," "Nuff Ced" McGreevey shouted,"
We're not here to mess around

Boston, you know we love you madly
Hear the crowd roar to your sound
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Tessie, you are the only only only"

~ quiet times ~

While I was home on the Range this summer, my family and I went out on the houseboat to watch the fireworks for the 4th of July. It was a beautiful calm sunset out on the lake ... I found these pictures that can help calm the soul.

I have had a lot going on in my personal life as of late, and have not had time to update here !!!

I am going to try and change that now ...

Things to come ...

Ball Busting ...

I have been busy in trying to incorporate MG and the DS into my life – together – trying to see if we can be the “happy family”. It takes a lot of my energy to make these 2 males feel all important in my life – and to make them both feel comfortable in sharing me with the other. All seems to be going well on that front.

I am an anal person. I like things done a certain way – I am sure we all have little quirks like that. Well, MG decided to do a little housework yesterday.

* Made himself some good ol’ Mac & Cheese for lunch – which he burned. How do you burn M & C ??? Then he didn’t even wash the dishes from his lunch cooking experience.
* Emptied out the brownie pan. They needed to be tossed as they were getting old and hard. After hearing about the M & C fiasco I had to ask how he emptied the pan. Why, using a METAL spoon of course – in my brand new Teflon pan … we all know you don’t use metal in these, right?????
* Laundry. The last time he was here he did my laundry too, and washed some of my new work “dry clean only” blouses. *sigh* But this time was ok – no work clothes – but they all had to be refolded as he basically just balled them up.

Ok – enough picking on him – it’s not nice of me … it just felt good to vent.

So – how about those Red Sox? So much has happened since I last “posted” … Buchholz had a no hitter … AMAZING – I read about it in the newspaper while the DS, myself, and MG were out of town at the waterparks … I was very thrilled !

Happy to see we had won the past 4 games (excluding last night) after being swept by the MFY … which, by the way, I do NOT want to discuss – at all. I hate the MFY.

So, we are now squaring off against the O’s – I hope it’s a clean sweep by us in Baltimore … then the D-Rays come to Fenway … where we then have to play those damn MFY’s again … but on our home turf …

Re-Post

I am just going to "modify" the 2nd post I made yesterday ... since it doesn't make sense if I post it verbatim today ... because it was meant for yesterday. Did that make sense to anyone? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Uh-hmph ... yesterday was a day off for my beloved team of MLB ... so I can skip that whole paragraph! This weekend I was fortunate enough to get to watch 3 of the 4 games we played against the White Sox ... on TV that is - not in person unfortunately ... not for a lack of trying either - just, ya know ... life takes over and mother nature sucks and the trains were not running into Chicago due to flooding and such ... hey wait, this is not the point ... LOL !

So, (clears throat, gets serious) we head into NYC to battle the MFY for a 3 game series starting today. We lead the MFY's by 8 games so regardless of what happens this week, we are still ahead. I have such complete faith in our team ~ we have an amazing pitching rotation and our bats have been working as of late. I mean, seriously, we have Matsuzaka, who is 2-0 against the MFY, vs. Andy Pettitte today. My baby, Josh Beckett, will be battling his "idol" Roger Clemens on Wednesday. Schilling will be pitching against Chien-Ming Wang on Thursday afternoon.

I'm praying, as is Red Sox Nation, for a series sweep. I want to put as much distance between the MFY and ourselves as possible ...

lil bit frustrated ...

yesterday I made 2 new posts ... and they WILL NOT appear on my blog ... I am getting a tad bit frustrated and a lot pissed off.

~ thank you from your regional anger management group ~

Just another reason why the MFY's suck!

I am SO far behind in life, it's not even funny. My friend "E" posted this article in my home away from home, The Enclave, and it is disturbing.

Lack of words ...

I have been pulled in a few other non-blog directions this past week so I haven't been around to destress myself; personal or Sox related.

So we are playing the DRays - and Wakey came out victorious ~ 7 scoreless innings ! YAY !!! Ya know, Wake is one of my ALL-TIME favorite pitchers - and I think he's pretty damn hot for being 41 years old !
  • Mike Lowell had two hits and three RBIs ...
  • Dustin Pedroia had a run-scoring single ...
  • Manny Ramirez collected a pair of RBIs in the second ...

Can't complain with last night's game ... Lester is on the mound tonight - good luck Jon !!!

Personal life ... the DS will be home in only 5 more days ... I miss him so much - I can't wait until he gets here. MG is coming back and will be here next Friday.

I booked a hotel for us - we are going to go to a waterpark for Labor Day weekend - it should be a fun time and gives the "boy's" time to bond and hang out ...

I can't believe school starts in 2 weeks !!! Where did the summer go? I have just about finished all of the back-to-school shopping for the DS now - he'll just need some pants and possibly a new pair of shoes. I love back-to-school shopping!

Hilarious !

Does anyone faithfully read The Dugout like I do ??? I love it ... I love when they feature our BoSox boys - but I also like it when they feature the MFY man lovers ...

read here to see what I find so amusing !

Bonds to take on Boston's Schilling ...

Please read article HERE ...

Bonds began seeking civil rights representation three weeks ago after Schilling criticized him in an interview with HBO's Bob Costas.

"This is directed at Schilling more than anybody," said criminal defense attorney Michael Rains, who is representing Bonds in a grand jury investigation stemming from the BALCO case.

"Schilling said some things that were inappropriate and potentially defamatory. I know it was upsetting to Barry. We talked about the issue and I know he was talking to some civil lawyers to put people on notice that he has someone defending him." ...

"While pursuing Hank Aaron's home run record, Barry felt that it was more prudent to remain silent," the release stated. "Now that the record has been broken, Burris and Schneider will evaluate any and all statements attributed to him that are false. His attorneys are particularly concerned about individuals profiting from his accomplishments by attributing statements and/or conversations to him that never occurred."

Give me a break !!! BB will have to prove to a court of law, or a jury, that the statements made by Schilling and ANYONE else are false - he will have to prove that he has NEVER used steroids - which we know he can't do - and there is to much speculation (yes I know what the word means) that he has used HGH and other substances ... he didn't sue the author of the book Game of Shadows and that's pretty incriminating !!!

Oh well - he surpassed the home run king - and has tarnished a beloved record ... I pray the record is broken (unfortunately it could be gay-rod) and we can forget about him.

I have a lot on my mind today - it's going to be a multi post day I think !

Wha ... Who ... HUH ????

Joel Pineiro worked seven scoreless innings in the St. Louis Cardinals' 5-0 victory over the San Diego Padres on Thursday night.

The Pastors Ass ...

** this is one of the stupid email forwards we all get, but I liked this one ! **

The pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again. The local paper read:
PASTOR'S ASS OUT FRONT!

The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the pastor not to enter the donkey in another race. The next day, the local paper headline read:
BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S ASS.

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey. The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent. The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day:
NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.

The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10. The next day the paper read:
NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10.

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild. The next day the headlines read:
NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE.

The bishop was buried the next day.

The moral of the story is . . . being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery ... even shorten your life. So be yourself and enjoy life. Stop worrying about everyone else's ass and you'll be a lot happier and live longer!

Have a nice day!

Let's have everyone play ...

Jebus - who in the world DIDN'T pitch last night?

  1. Lester
  2. Tavarez
  3. Timlin
  4. Okajima
  5. Gagne
  6. Papelbon

Am I missing anyone?

Dusty Pedroia hit a homer in the 7th giving us the final lead ... thank you !

Today is a day of rest then we are off to Baltimore ...

I still am suffering with this damn cold - I am miserable and I am not getting enough sleep at night. It can go away anytime.

Only 17 more days until the DS comes home. I am so excited. I started doing some back-to-school shopping for him; picking up some new clothes, backpack, school supplies ... he grew a lot this summer so I waited to buy pants as I don't know what size he'll take now.

I miss MG. He calls everyday and we are discussing the details of him moving here. He's going to need to find a job locally as I refuse to support him. I am more than happy to "share" expenses but he is going to have to pull his own weight. I think it will stress me out if he's at home all day. So, he's looking online for some ideas or opportunities. I am really happy that he is willing to try it here. This will be a fresh start for him and for us.

Buh-Bye D.W.

What do you do if you are David Wells formerly of the beloved Boston Red Sox in this situation ?

My return ...

I got back to Novyland at about 1:00 am today. I'm beat !!!

The drive East was nice - except for the fact that I was really sick - I couldn't drink or eat anything because I had a wicked sore, swollen throat and let's not forget the fever. The drive was great - until we got to Chicago - 2 hours of crappy traffic. Then it was smooth sailing through Indiana & Ohio ... Pennsylvania was a different story - we got lost - sorta. He didn't listen to me and missed our exit - but was too stubborn to go back ... so it was just an extra 200 miles we had to drive.

Meeting the family was wonderful. His mother is truly a joy - I just loved her ... we got along great. His father was very warm and kind - but OMG - he's a MFY fan !!!! He even offered me a MFY jersey to wear to the game ... No thanks - LOL ! A Red Sox fan can NEVER wear pinstripes !

The trip to MFY stadium ... ugh - what a nightmare !! :) Took the train to Penn Station - and hopped on the subway to 161st st ... I had never been to NYC before - so it was - uh - different. I saw some truly BIZARRE people - but I didn't stare ... I was too scared to stare. LOL!

We had decent seats - I was about 30 feet from where Gay-Rod's 500th HR ball landed - the stadium was electric ... I was like "eh, who cares ... he's a MFY." It was SOOOO hot too ... we were just melting ... the KC Soils - uh, Royals - but up a bit of a fight in the 5th - they tied it up 7-7 .... plus my former beloved was 0-3 I believe ... that was nice ...

After the game it was a quick trip home and a relaxing night since I was leaving the following afternoon and we had to drive to JFK ...

Overall - I had the most wonderful time I ever thought possible ... I was so sad to see it end ... :( I hope to go back again soon ...

Road Trip ...

Tomorrow I am heading off on a road trip. We are driving from my house in NovyLand to NJ. I will be flying home on Sunday evening. I am pretty excited - I love to travel and this is definately an adventure !

I just printed out my tickets to Saturday's Yankee game ... Can you believe I am admitting that? I am VERY anti MFY ... but I have always had a dream to visit every MLB ball park ... and since this one is closing after next season, I needed to take advantage of this trip.

I want to wear one of my Red Sox hat's but MG refuses. He doesn't want to have to get in a fight while we are there ... are MFY fans really going to start something with a girl from the midwest? I guess I won't get to cheer at this game ... I will try and sneak in some hoots for the Royal's though.

Also, it is NO secret that I used to be a big ol' Johnny Damon fan ... so, maybe he'll be playing - there won't be any "I love you Johnny"s being yelled ... but maybe just to see his non-smiling face. We all heard the trade rumors - I would not be surprised if they pawn him off ... I'd be happy actually !!

Wish me luck and a safe journey ... I will pray my hardest to have them the MFY's lose ... and the Royals win ... but I don't know that my prayers will be enough ...

~ secrets ~

i keep them.

i keep secrets from a lot of people so as not to disappoint them.

i am an adult, and i should not have to keep things from my family and friends for fear of them being upset with my choices in life.

am i making a mistake with mg? i don't think so. it is not as if i went out and married him or anything. i have not made any drastic, rash decisions. we are only spending time together. "playing house" so to speak.

what is the harm in that? is it that at one point in my life i was afraid of him? i don't mean i feared for my life, not really. he was just verbally abusive from a distance of one thousand miles. half a country.

if i can forgive him and move forward, why can't others let me be happy?

Jumpin Jack Jon Lester !

YAY FOR JON LESTER !!!!

His return to Red Sox baseball produced a much deserved win for the BoSox last night ...

We had fast, hard pitching and heated bats last night ...

My emotion this morning is that I am pissed at the world ...

Happiness ...

There are a lot of things that bring me happiness:

  • The DS

  • My Family

  • The Red Sox

  • Friends

  • Scrapbooking

  • Reading

  • Movies

  • Music

  • Sports

Right now I am beaming about Gabby ... what an amazing night he had - he pitched a

SHUTOUT !!!! It was the first shutout for a Red Sox rookie since Paul Quantrill on July 4, 1993, at Seattle.

I love what Gabbard & Tek had to say when the were asked what worked so well ...

Gabby ~ "Having Varitek back there," Gabbard said. "We went over the hitters before the game like we always do. And you know, he's so good at that ... as a pitcher, I think it makes it a lot easier to pitch."

Tek ~ "I don't pitch," said Varitek. "It's about [the starters] executing pitches, actually. I just try to put them in a situation that's going to make them successful. I'm still not the guy with the ball. Just an aid. And he did the work."

Wakey's up tonight - praying for his 4th win in a row ... GOOD LUCK TIMM-EH .... I Wuv You !

So - I am working half a day today - I gots a date this afternoon ... I am looking forward to it!

Jere the author ...

Imagine my pleasant surprise getting this email today:

Hall of Fame Press to Publish Red Sox Mystery

Hall of Fame Press is proud to announce that it will be publishing in 2008 a Red Sox mystery authored by acclaimed mystery novelist Mary-Ann Tirone Smith and her son Jere Smith. For Mary-Ann Tirone Smith, it will be her 10th book and will feature the return of Rocky Patel, the Boston homicide detective who first appeared in her novel SHE SMILED SWEETLY. Jere Smith is a fourth-generation Red Sox fan and first-generation Red Sox blogger. This book is the first in a planned series of baseball mysteries to be written by the Smiths and published by Hall of Fame Press.

Mary-Ann Tirone Smith has published nine books since 1985. Following the success of her acclaimed memoir, GIRLS OF TENDER AGE, which NPR named one of "The Year's Best Books: Mystery and Nonfiction," she welcomes a return to mystery, and to Boston cop Rocky Patel. Smith is currently working on a Civil War novel and one of her main characters is Captain Abner Doubleday, First United States Artillery, Fort Sumter, 1860-1861, who may have invented baseball after all. She has lived in Connecticut all her life except for the two years she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon.

Jere Smith spent the first 29 years of his life in the one county in New England that gets the Yankees on TV, but not the Red Sox. He's got a 10-game plan at Fenway and regularly travels to watch the Sox in other cities. In 2005, he moved to Manhattan where he wore his Sox cap proudly, and worked with the elderly. He's written about the Red Sox on his own time since April 2004 on his blog, "A Red Sox Fan from Pinstripe Territory" ( letsgosox.blogspot.com). He recently moved to the Boston area, where he has fulfilled his life-long dream of getting to see the Red Sox on TV every night.

Dan Doyle, Founder and Executive Director of the Institute for International Sport ( http://www.internationalsport.com/ ) at the University of Rhode Island, conceived Hall of Fame Press with the objective of publishing high-quality sport-themed books. "Mary-Ann Tirone Smith is one of the most respected mystery writers in America," Doyle said. "The Red Sox mystery will be the first in what we plan to be a series of annual baseball mysteries written by the Smiths. One of the many exciting aspects of this announcement is the notion of an annual 'rite of summer' in the form of a first-rate baseball mystery. The series will bring much joy to thousands of baseball fans and other readers. It will also be great fun to see which franchise Mary-Ann chooses each summer as the base for that summer's mystery."

So, where do I sign up to preorder this book? Reading Jere's blog for more than a year now, I must say I can't wait to read this book ...

I am home - just barely. There were 2 awful storms on my drive home yesterday. I couldn't see a foot in front of me and at one point I started to cry it was so scary.

I had a wonderful time. I had my cousins girls for an entire day on Wednesday. I got to visit my friend Mike and his beautiful daughter. I went to the DS's paternal grandparent's house for a birthday party in his honor on Thursday - we put the houseboat in the lake - and we went out for a nice dinner.

Friday I had a nice day to myself. The DS and Papa went fishing so I could get ready for my reunion - I left the house at 4:45 and returned Saturday morning at 10:00 !!! What a fun time I had. I saw a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time and got to spend time with those I don't see as often as I would like.

Saturday we had our own party for the DS - I was a bit hungover, but nobody could tell thank goodness ! We also went out on the houseboat for dinner and to watch the fireworks display.

The weather was HOT - and I am very glad to be home.

I missed my Novy Raw home .....

Quick Rambles from the Iron Range ...

OK ... how exciting is it to see that Okajima is now going to the All-Star Game ???!!!! YAY !!! I love that Boston is representing in high numbers ... we are superb !!!!

Tampa Bay was swept under the rug ... and in a big way today !!! THANK YOU !!!

Today is the DS's birthday ... my little boy is 8 ... *sigh* we had a very fun day.

I went riding around on my dad's go-kart for about 3 hours today while the DS was with his dad. I went down to the lake, and took the trail into the woods ... then when I went to pick up the DS I drove the go-kart instead of my car ... the kids LOVED it ...

I am having a wonderful time at home ... tomorrow I have some of my non-local friends coming to stay the night ... we are going to party it up like it's 1999 !!! Well, it is my 10 year reunion tomorrow night - so maybe it's 1997 ... :)

Nighty Night.

I'm ready ...

I am feeling overwhelmed today.

I am ready to go on my vacation - counting down - only 88 more minutes until I hit the open road. Open road makes me laugh - it's 4th of July weekend - the highways are going to be busy!

My new phone came today - thank goodness. It's not that fancy-schmancy iPhone - it's just the new Razr - which is a step up from my last one .... I'm happy with it.

Bags are packed, car is loaded .... I did forget something at home, so I will have to swing by on my way out of town. That's ok - I live right off the route I am taking so it is not like it is going to take me out of my way.

Can you believe 5 of our beloved boys are on the All-Star team?? Congratulations to:
  • Josh Beckett
  • Jonathon Papelbon
  • David Ortiz
  • Mike Lowell
  • Manny Ramirez

I voted for all of our boys ... so I am happy that we got 5 in ... that's great. Now let's vote for Okajima !!!!!

~ religious humor ~

A new priest at his first mass was so nervous he could hardly speak.

After mass he asked the monsignor how he had done.

The monsignor replied, "When I am worried about getting nervous on the pulpit, I put a glass of vodka next to the water glass. If I start to get nervous, I take a sip."

So next Sunday he took the monsignor's advice.
At the beginning of the sermon, he got nervous and took a drink.

He proceeded to talk up a storm.

Upon his return to his office after the mass, he found the following note on the door:

1) Sip the vodka, don't gulp.
2) There are 10 commandments, not 12.
3) There are 12 disciples, not 10.
4) Jesus was consecrated, not constipated.
5) Jacob wagered his donkey, he did not bet his ass.
6) We do not refer to Jesus Christ as the late J.C.
7) The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not referred to as Daddy, Junior and the spook.
8) David slew Goliath; he did not kick the shit out of him.
9) When David was hit by a rock and was knocked off his donkey, don't say he was stoned off his ass.
10)We do not refer to the cross as the "Big T."
11)When Jesus broke the bread at the last supper he said, "Take this and eat it for it is my body." He did not say "Eat me".
12)The Virgin Mary is not called "Mary with the Cherry".
13)The recommended grace before a meal is not: Rub-A-Dub-Dub thanks for the grub, Yeah God.
14)Next Sunday there will be a taffy pulling contest at St. Peter's not a peter pulling contest at St. Taffy's.

Sleep, Work, Clean, Pack ...

Those items are on my agenda this weekend ...

I am going to go home and do a few things around the house tonight, then go to bed early. I have to work in the morning on a project ... then I would like to go home and finish cleaning the house. I MAY have company when I return from my vacation to Northern Minnesota and won't have time to clean up when I return. Hence the packing ...

It is my 10 year high school reunion next weekend. The DS is having a birthday & party. My cousin is coming home from KS. 2 of my special "redneck" friends are coming up so we can play & drink.

It's going to be a busy 5 days.

Anyone have any plans for the weekend?

Are you Normal ???

It doesn't hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time, and this should help get you started.

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director what the criteria was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"

Updated Power Rankings ...

Courtesty of Fox Sports ... click here to see the Beloved BoSox listed as #1 ...

Also, from my day-to-day calendar ...

On this day in Baseball, 1984

Although he has stolen only one base all season, Dusty Baker is unstoppable on the base paths as he steals second, third, and home in the Giants 12-9 victory over the Reds at Candlestick Park.

I wish I could have seen that ... sounds amazing!

Tuesday, June 26, 2007

Well Wishes ...

Unfortunately the BoSox lost last night to the Mariners ... but we can turn it around and take 2 of 3 ... I have faith.

Uh ... I am boring today ... I have nothing to say ...

I have a headache so I think that is part of the problem. I am going to go tanning tonight and relax in the coolness of my house ... gotta love central air when it's 100 degrees outside!

Monday, June 25, 2007

Smokin Hot !!!

My Josh Beckett is wonderful ... Win number 11 on Sunday !!!

Pap's closed it out ... he's superb ...

Tek homered in the 8th ....

Now we are off against the mariners !

I had to watch the MFY game on Fox on Saturday ... GOOD JOB GIANTS !!! Gawd, I was sooo happy to see them lose ... if I have to watch the MFY, I want to watch them lose ... It was a good day !

Peace ....

and quiet is not a part of my life right now.

Last night I did a good deed, stopped at the Goodwill and dropped off about 12 bags of clothes and some boxes of children's toys and romance novels. I am working on de-cluttering my life so that was a start in the right direction.

Last night was an off night for the BoSox ... however, the Colorado Suckies totally dominated the MFY's ... clean sweep ... amazing ... I love it ... 10.5 games ... woohoo !

My Boston-Boys of Summah are off to the West coast for a 6 game stint in San Diego & Seattle ... GOOD LUCK MY SWEETS !!!

Well, I am hoping for a quiet weekend at home ... I'm not sure if MG is coming to town or not ... is supposed to but I am not holding my breath. Alone time at home sounds pretty good to me though ... catch up on some reading, watch a movie ... it's supposed to be pretty hot out so maybe some frozen blended alcoholic beverages on the patio would be a good choice ...

Tonight I am off to get a manicure & pedicure ... maybe a Boston Crimson color on the toesies ... we'll see ... I prefer pinks in the summah time ...

Anyone got any good plans for the weekend?

Thursday, June 21, 2007

11-0 ... Way to rock the bats BoSox!

So last night I went to a movie with some lady friends from work ~ we went to see Knocked Up and it was friggin hilarious !

Moving on, can you imagine my surprise when I see the final box score for the Red Sox / Braves matchup is 11-0 ?? !! ?? !!

Fan-Fruckin-Tastic ! Seriously ... a 5 run lead at the end of the 1st ... Rock On my boys of summer !

Tavarez has really impressed me this year .... I wasn't all that keen on him previously, but I can admit that I am changing my tune ...

Anyhow, you can read the article HERE

Wednesday, June 20, 2007

Once again, Josh kept his promise ...

If you are wondering what promise he kept, look HERE .

10th win for Sir Beckett ... I so love this man ...

"With Beckett likely to make just one more start before the American League All-Star squad is announced on July 1, the right-hander looks like a near lock to be selected among the best of the best for the first time in his career. "

This will make me so happy ... I voted for all of my BoSoxBoys to make the all star team ... no doubt about it !

Nice article can be read here

On this day in baseball ...

~ 1973 ~

In different games, Reds' Pete Rose (a single against the Giants) and Dodger Willie Davis (home run off the Braves) both collect their 2,000th career hit.

SanFran-tastic Sweep by the BoSox !

Jebus ... prayers do get answered ... all I asked for was a beautiful Giants sweep this weekend, and my prayer came true ...

So ... the crappy-ass Barry Bonds got another homer - and off to my Wakey ... but you know what ? It wasn't nearly enough to break up the 3 game sweep ...

HOLY CRAP-OLA ! Pedroia is on FIRE !!!! 5 hits in 5 at bats ...

I didn't see it ... so it's hard for me to say ... but I still call BullShit to the ejection of Papi ...

Yoooooooooouk !!! Youkilis has played 114 consecutive errorless games at first base as of Friday night. His last error at first came on July 4, 2006. Youk is five games shy of the club record set by Stuffy McInnis ...

Now we are off to Atlanta .... GOOD LUCK ! Stomp those Braves !!!!

Friday, June 15, 2007

This made me smile ...

This is funny ... and very true !

Overheard at the beach ...

WTF is going on ????

Well, my sweet Josh Beckett ... I am sorry that you had to have that dreaded game added to your W/L column ... this just isn't going the way I want it to.

WTF is up with the offense?? Do you boys need to get a massage and get some relief so you can calm the hell down and start playing some good fruckin ball??

Let me tell you what I want ~ I want you to hit the damn ball, hard ... and run like hell, and score mega runs .... is that to much to ask for ?

DAMN ! While we are in a freaking slump those bullshit MFY's won another game ... I can't have that ... lol ...

On a side note, I kinda got sunburned around the arm pit area and it hurts to wear a bra cause it's rubbing ... not too happy about that right now.

Let's STOMP the Giants ...

Wednesday, June 13, 2007

I'm a little late here ...

Ya know, sometimes life doesn't let you do what you want, and you have to be responsible and do the right thing ... so I am dedicating my break this afternoon to a quick note about last night's game.

I just want to jump up and down, kiss Wake, and give him a big ol' hug ... I am hoping that last night's game against the Colorado Suckies is our turning point ... the point where we start winning again ... the point where we can hopefully grow the lead between us and the MFY's ...

How in the hell do they get to win 7 friggin games in a row ? Why on earth do they get to play all the "lesser" teams in MLB? Who is George Steinbrenner sleeping with?

Anyhow ... Good luck tonight Schill ... let's try for a no hitter tonight ... hell, if the Tigers can do it, we can too.

Personality Analysis ...

I found this to be somewhat interesting - go ahead and give it a try ...

Visual DNA quiz

You have to choose 1 picture on every page, at the top they tell you what the criteria is, and at the end it gives you your "visual DNA"

Time to catch up ...

I have been busy - busy doing nothing.

The DS left on Saturday morning with his Papa. I was crying like crazy, and went back to bed - I slept for about 9 hours and nobody called me to say they got home safe - so I called and checked and they were all busy doing stuff. I just sat in bed sad and lonely all day ... I missed my baby ...

The DS rode his bike about 2 blocks last night - BY HIMSELF. OMG !!! I couldn't believe it - I wasn't sure he would be ready - but she thought she would try it. He knew where he was going - to the baseball field - and it's a safe town - but, he's my little boy !!!

The BoSox are back home today - with the Rockies coming to town - at least we can use the DH in this interleague game ... I, as always, am praying for a sweep - and hope to the Big Guy above that the MFY's lose, lose, lose ...

I am so grateful for the lead we have in our division, but I want it to be a bit bigger ... so I hope we can do it.

Have a good day ..........

Wednesday, June 06, 2007

I am overwhelmed with emotion this week. I can't find the time to write, or find anything to say. I am keeping things bottled up inside and working through the stress.

To top off my emotional scale, the DS is leaving in 2 days for the summer. He is going to my parents where he is going to have a grand time of hanging out with both sets of grandparents, fishing, swimming, boating, go-karting, PS2-ing, being with his "Northern" friends, and SO much more.

I can survive these summers alone. People ask me how I can let him go that long and I can honestly say that him having the opportunity to do all of the things I mentioned above makes it worth it. Otherwise the poor kid is stuck in daycare all day everyday while I work - which would you choose?

WHEW - that felt good to get off my chest.

I am still bummed that the Sox have lost 3 in a row - but we will turn it around. And we are still 11.5 games up on the smelly MFY's.

For some reason, I just want to say, I don't like MySpace. I love Facebook.

Pathetic ...

A friend of mine shared this picture with me ... and all I could say was how true ...

Wednesday, May 30, 2007

Where do I begin ?

WOW.

I cannot believe that Boston is 14.5 games up on those nasty ass MFY's ... I am LOVING it ...

Trot Nixon's return to Fenway - could you have asked for anything better than that ? A wonderul ovation for our dirt dog ... my DS wore his Nixon shirt on Monday and it was just coincidence ... but it did not go unnoticed ... we went out for an ice cream treat that night, and we saw some Sox fans - literally walked up to the DS and high fived him for his shirt ... it was cute ...

Speaking of the DS ~ he is leaving in 9 days for the summer ... he goes home to my mother's for 2 months and then to his Dad's ... he starts hockey camp in 2 weeks ... I miss him already - I get sad for the first week or so then I enjoy my summer ... I know he is having a great time with his grandparents and that's what makes it worth it. I would prefer him to be gone than be stuck at daycare all day ...

*sigh*

Let's Rebound !!!

OK ... so the F*&%^@G BS'ing MFY's won last nights game .... fine ... whatever ... We knew (but wished not)that they were going to take 1 of the 3 ... Move On ...

Let's step it up - and punish them ...

Let's HUMILIATE them in their own house ...

OK ... moving on ...

MFY's have tension with Clemens ...

Can't say I blame ol' Kyle Farnsworth for his opinion regarding Clemens's "family clause" ...

OOOHHHH ... A funny with Clemens & Farnsworth - click HERE

Loving my Red Sox right now ...

"The Red Sox (28-12) increased their lead in the AL East over the second-place New York Yankees to 9 1/2 games. The last time the Yankees were that far back was after games of Sept. 6, 1997."

Way To Go Hinske !!!!

"Mike Rabelo hit a fly ball that the wind carried away from Hinske. He dived parallel to the ground and held the ball despite hitting the warning track face first. He stayed down for a short time before trotting off the field to an ovation."

Complete and utter sadness for me - my Beckett is on the DL

RS / Tigers ...

I wanna hear some Tigers roaring ... roaring from pain by the Tigers from being crushed by the Red Sox ...

Thanks goodness for gameday ...

Let's Go Red Sox ! ClapClap !

Nice win by the Red Sox today - Shout out to Paps !!!

Papelbon closes the game in the 9th - 13 pitches: 11 strikes, 2 balls !!!

I wuv him !!

Post Mother's Day ...

The ds surprised me for Mother's Day ... we usually go out to brunch, but he wanted to go to this Cajun restaurant for lunch on Sunday. It was kinda funny because he said he wanted to eat at 1:30 - he was adamant about the time ...

We arrived, and I groaned because there were tons of people there ... we walk in, and the DS says "reservation for 2 under DS" ... they seat us and the host guy dude walks away and comes back with an envelope - the DS and my mom were in cahoots and got a gift certificate for our lunch ...

Can you say "awwwwwwwwww ...." LOL !

My boys of summer are still doing great - they are 8.5 games up over the 2nd place MFY's ... 11 games up on Tampa Bay ... LOVIN IT !!!!

I kind of wish the BS'ing media would STOP asking Johnny questions that will lead to answers regarding the Red Sox ... it's done - it's over - finished - quit beating a dead horse !!! It's just starting to piss me off, and that says a lot since I don't get that way ... but ... FTLOG !!!!

Thursday, May 10, 2007

I uploaded to YouTube !

On Sunday's game at the Dome with my Red Sox - there was this Twins guy in front of me - when WMP relieved Hinske, this guy went NUTS !!!

Apparently on Saturday he heckled the crap outta Willy Mo for 7 innings - he said at one point WMP turned around, with a ball in his hand, and well ... if looks could kill ...

so, I got some video of this guy - everytime he did this I would holla "I love you Willy Mo !"

Anyhow - here they are !

Red Sox Weekend Update by Novy !

WOW. What a great baseball weekend – where do I start ?

Well, we arrived in Minneapolis on Friday night – did a little swimming with the DS and went to bed.

Saturday we got up, went swimming, and then got ready to go shopping …

We went downtown, and wouldn’t you know we were only a few blocks from the Red Sox hotel. There were SOME people waiting outside for hopes of an autograph, I just wanted to see them up close.

We went next door to an indoor shopping mall, and used the bathroom. I was waiting out in the hall, and I see this guy walking towards me … I took a deep breath and took the plunge.

Me: “Hi Josh.”
JB: “Hey, how you doing” and gives finger pistol wave, smiles, and
winks.

HOLY CRAP – I got a little teary eyed, as one of my favorite RS boys just talked to me !!! Thanks for a great start to a great weekend Josh Beckett !

We went back and stood across the street from the RS hotel, the DS and I were both wearing RS t-shirts, and out walks Papelbon … he wouldn’t sign autographs, and was on the phone … he jumped in a cab, and they were in traffic right in front of us – I told the DS to wave at him, and JP waved back and gave him a thumbs up ! WOW ! Good fortune was with us …

We called our shuttle driver, and he was coming to pick us up … BUT – instead of pulling to the side where we were standing, he drove up to the RS hotel so we could get up close and personal !!!! I saw Hinske and yelled GOOD LUCK HINSKE, he smiled, waved, and said Thanks!

Somewhere in here - we rode the shuttle to the RS hotel AGAIN, and we were on there with Dustin Pedroia's mother-in-law - she was very friendly and nice to talk to ...

What a great afternoon … we got ready to go and then went to the Metrodome …

Our seats for Saturday’s game where right above the Red Sox dugout – we got there early enough for batting practice and I got some great pictures of everyone … we lost the game, but I still had a great time …

Sunday we got in early too, only we were 4th row off the field out between left & center … WAY DIFFERENT VIEW than the night before, but we were so close to the outfielders … it was really nice – Schilling was amazing … Okajima was great … and Papelbon … 1-2-3 !!!

And in conclusion, I would just like to say – “Superman, it was great meeting you.”

pictures to come later, they need to be resized ...

ROTFLMAO ! Betrayal of Tom Brady ...

Friggin hilarious ... seriously ... and shame on you Tom Brady for wearing the insignia of the damn MFY's !!!

Twin Cities or Bust !

Today is the day we leave for Minneapolis / St. Paul ... I have confirmed our hotel reservations and the Red Sox / Twins tickets are in my purse !

I am so excited ... 2 days of baseball heaven ... I just want to know who the hell is pitching on Saturday - it should be Tavarez, but I don't know if they will have someone else in there or not .... and Sunday I will see Schilling ! The DS will wear his Schilling jersey on Sunday !!

It's just a matter of hours now ...

April showers ...

bring Red Sox joy as they lead the MFY's 6.5 games at the end of April !

'lovin it !

So ~ I called it - I prayed that I would be wrong, and we would take all 3 games this weekend, but I knew we would take Friday & Sunday's games ... I felt the MFY's would take just one game ...

I am just counting down until I can see my boys of summer on Saturday in Minneapolis ...

Go Fish !

The ds was in a musical last night entitled GO FISH ... it was flat out hil.ar.i.ous !

The ds was a clownfish so he had to dress up as a clown - there were sharks, and an eel, seahorses (cowboys & cowgirls, crabs, an angel fish, starfish, polka-dotted zebra fish ! It was great - I was skeptical since I was only told Tuesday night by the ds that he needed a clown costume for the next day for dres rehearsal ... which i didn't have time to "make" ... but he looked wicked awesome last night !

*sigh* T G I F !

Tomorrow I am having a "redneck weiner" dinner party ... mostly booze and a couple friends - but we always have what I call redneck weiners, beans, brownies, beer, booze, and chips & dip ... we are going to go and have ourselves a pedicure first, then meet up at my house for some friendly fun ! I'm excited ...

and since we are talking about hotdogs, redneck style, it brings me to think that in 2 weeks I am going back home for something we have dubbed the redneck reunion ... only it's not the 2nd Annual, but take 2 !!! It will be so much fun ! More on that later though !

Swisher + Hair = Sexy

Seriously.

Nick Swisher is looking mighty damn fine with his long, Johnny Damon-ish locks of love ... WOWZA !

But, the hair is for a good cause

Cleaning house ...

Wow!

What do you say to a clean sweep of the MFY’s this weekend? The only word that comes to mind is Wow.

Living in WI, I do not get NESN so it’s hard to watch games … but let me tell ya, I was glued to all news Red Sox !!!

Last night I think I was actually sweating. Seriously. That was too close for comfort for me, but I just kept praying out loud – “please Lord, let them win, please.” It seemed to work!

I hope we can do the same thing to the MFY’s this weekend at the Toilet. I am SO keeping my fingers crossed … anyhow, it Sunday was definitely a day for rejoicing !

It was a beautiful weekend in Novyland. Nice, high temps … I took the DS to the park on Saturday and then we went to the drive-in for lunch and root beer floats.

Sunday we did some housework and rested and just spent time together … the weekend went to quickly …

The ds is counting down days to the Red Sox / Twins series … 12 more days he says … he’s very excited … he’s going to play catch all weekend long so he’ll be ready for when we sit on the Home Run Porch at the ‘Dome … he’s funny … we also bought 8 packs of baseball cards on Friday … we got 1 Twins playa, Joe Nathan and 1 RS playa, Tek … my man ! LOL !

78th MLB All Star Game Voting !

Read HERE for news on the voting ...

Let's bring the Red Sox Boys to the All Star Game !

1st No Hitter of 2007 !!!

Way to go Mark Buehrle !!!!

Horrific scare aftermath ...

Across the nation yesterday, it was reported that there were 10 bomb threats called in across college campuses.

I felt this one yesterday. Driving home from work, a special report that our local university had found a note about a bomb being in the residence hall and it would go off in the late afternoon.

WHY? Why would someone do such a horrible thing after what the country, the world, just suffered in Virginia?

I'm sorry - this is just unacceptable ...

Easily excitable ...

I can't help it ... seriously - I am WICKED excited about my 2 upcoming Red Sox (vs. Twins) games in May !!!

17 days. That's all.

*sigh*

If I could just pack and move to Boston, or even be closer than the Midwest, maybe it wouldn't be this bad. Now I have to fly to Boston to see them and it's not cheap to fly to Beantown. I was going to fly to Seattle this summer and it was less than HALF of the flight to Boston ... JEEPERS !

But, a Fenway experience is like no other ...

Novy's Red Sox games ...

I ordered my tickets yesterday for the Red Sox / Twins series ... We are only going to the Saturday and Sunday games ...I can't make Friday's due to work ... but that is ok ...

The ds is very excited about going - I showed him where our seats are and this morning he was all excited, "how many more days until we see the Red Sox Mom ?" ... he is DEFINATELY my son ! That is how I get ... and plus, well ... I Love the Red Sox !

Sadness at Virginia Tech

My prayers and thoughts go out to all the families of those injured or killed today in the awful shooting at Virginia Tech.

This is more and more common in the past 5 years, I just do not understand what these gunmen are thinking when they take all of these innocent lives. They then, in most cases, take their own lives after they have caused all of this irreplaceable damage to hundreds, thousands of people ...

To those familes touched by today's tragedy, I'm so sorry for your loss ...

Relaxing Weekend ?

Uh - not so much ...

I did a lot this weekend.

I came to work on Saturday for about 5 hours ... It was hot in the building and I couldn't take much more.

I rearranged my living room - my arms are a little sore from moving the entertainment center, tv, dvd shelves, couch, mirror, building a new shelf, recliner (things heavy, it's a massaging one so it's got a motor in it), and the mirror above my couch - that beast is HEAVY.

Watched the wonderful Boston Boys of Baseball play the Angels ... Good Job Curt Schilling !!! great game I thought ...

When the ds came home from his dad's on Sunday, I took him to a movie - he picked Firehouse Dog . It was a cute movie - very much for kids of course - but I truly enjoyed it ...

Then we went and did some shopping, and went to dinner at a BBQ place ... YUM!

AND, the DS did go to the Twins / Devil Rays game with his dad on Saturday - the Twins got a win ! The DS also got a foul ball and got to shake hands with Juan Rincon who then went out and pitched right after that ! He had a good time ... even though there were no pictures taken ... I will have to remedy that when we go to our game!

Meeting up with old friends ...

So, I just talked to my good girly buddy, KJ.

She went out last night, ran into an old friend ... had a nice time ... blah blah blah ...

I just want to give her a shout out and say "Girl, you had a fun time and meeting up with a friend from the past is amazingly funny ... I am glad you a had a fun time"

I could SO tell you had a fun night by the sound of your voice ...

** Looking forward to all of us having a weekend of drunken fun soon **

Wake is on the mound ...

tonight ... against the Angels ...

PLEASE, oh PLEASE ... can we get some run support for my deary Timmy?

Is it just coincidence that the rest of the team is not on the top of their game when he is pitching, or does the BIG GUY have it out for Wake?

There are presents for our boys tonight if they bring in lotsa lotsa runs ... I promise.

TAX TIME !

I'm not sure why I have waited this long to have them done ... but I have. I usually do it right away, and get it over and done with. This year has been busy and I just "forgot" about it ... but tonight is the night I go get them done ... Wish me luck.

Fenway Opener ...

HOLY CRAP BATMAN !

Top of the 3rd and it is 7-0 Red Sox !

WOO HOO !!!

JD Drew just homered ... well, in the 2nd he did ... but you knew what I meant ...

update:

11-1 in the top of the 5th ... I love high scoring games ... well, when the RS score high ... Beckett is looking mighty fine out there today !

Home ...

We made it home yesterday about 4:00 ... we had good timing and I didn't really speed too much ... just set the cruise control at 70 mph most of the way.

The DS rode from my mom's house to work with her, so they could have a little extra bonding time before we had to leave. Then we hit the open highway and came home ... it was a long drive, and I was wicked tired ... I get sad when I leave "my" home to come back to "our" new home ... it's been 5 years ... but I still miss my mom like crazy.

The DS is going to go with his father this weekend I believe - to a Twins game ... they are only playing Tampa Bay so he's not as excited as when we are going to see the Red Sox vs the Twins in May ...

Happy Tuesday!

Easter ...

We had a wonderful easter ...

the easter bunny brought me 2 new cd's and some patio lights ...

my mom got new scrapbooking supplies - she has just recently joined the scrapping cult ... she's really good too !

the ds got a new movie ... it's an animated one about baseball ... only it's the mfy's !!! he told my mom he wouldn't be able to take it home cause we don't allow MFY stuff at our house ... WHAT A SMART KID ! ... but, i told him that the easter bunny made a horrible mistake, but he could still keep it. He wants to give it to a friend ... he's definately my son !

I am not looking forward to tomorrow ... I don't want to leave ...

music ...

i am downloading my mp3 playa with a bunch of new music today ...

i even have a recording of me, at 2 years old - almost 26 years to the day - of my grandparents and i at the hunting shack ... it's a tear jerker to hear my grampa tell me he loves me whenever i want, since he died 14 years ago ...

so i am very excited to have new music to listen to !

I am still awake ...

I am just sitting here ... it's 12:08 am ... I am on vacation for 6 days ... I can't sleep. LOL ... not going to work in the morning is nice ... but I will still have to get up early ... we are going shopping.

Right now I am just surfing the web - flippin through iTunes ... and the TV is on in the background ... everytime I try and tear myself away, I get sucked back in by some Godforsaken thing ...

*sigh*

That's it ... I'm going to bed ... I think ...

Are we back to this again?

Well, Johnny is bound to be placed on the DL ... but don't fret your pretty little head, cause he still has sexy calves ...

First win for Dice-K !!

YAY !

WAY TO GO D.M. !!!!

And I would like to say to the crowd of 23,170 who booed Matsuzaka in the first when he stepped behind the mound and started doing half jumping-jacks, snapping his heals together in the air. PISS OFF ASSHOLES ! You aint the MFY's ... if anyone can Boo my beloved Red Sox it's the MFYF's ... so, Go.To.Hell. - - - thanks !

Wow, D-Mat threw 74 of 108 pitches for strikes and he retired 10 batters in a row ... Hey, you have a fan here ... I swear to you ... LOL !

And ... let us not forget about dear Papelbon. He struck out two of three batters for his first save !!! Yay !!! Perfect ... He is going to be one of the best closers of his time ... no doubt about it ...

So, I am happy to say we, the Red Sox, took the series ... 2 W's under our belt ...

GO SOX !

Thank You !

Oh ... I got the highlights of the game last night against the Royals and I was ecstatic to see that we, meaning of course the Red Sox, won 7-1 last night.

BTW, what the hell was the temperature in Kansas City last night? Probably not as cold as I am here in Northern Minnesota this morning (3 Degrees) ... I digress ... (update: it was 42 degrees last night and dropped into the 30's)

Beckett ... You promised me (see said promise HERE ) and you came through ... I LOVE YOU ! Well, in the most loving way a baseball fan can love a young pitcher ... You know what I mean ! Right?

Youky - 2 run homer in the 7th ... I love that you come through for us ... thank you ...

Well, another game this afternoon ... I am almost wishing for a chilly afternoon as you boys in uniform kept it warm last night ... Let's have another win shall we ...

WTF Johnny ... sexy calves ...

I cannot believe you said this in your YES interview ... dear God ...

In case you want to know - dear Johnny addressed his cramping calves, as he left the game yesterday. Said he had this problem before in Boston, has it in airplanes, it's a cold weather problem, and he said---

"That's the price I pay for having such SEXY CALVES."

FTLOG !

And ... honey - Jason Giambi did not "GET SEXY" at the plate. Sweetie - he will never get sexy ... EVER ... unless you like that look ... you know the constant look of sweat ... yuck. Sorry Jason ... no offense ... just ... just ... it's not doing it for me ... you are never going to be the porn star you want to be.

Johnny Dearest ... Please leave the sexy remarks to Justin Timberlake ...
