Well … Memorial Day is now over. This year was really hard for me … not because it was Memorial Day, but because the DS was gone for 5 days … I am used to him being gone, but this weekend hit me really hard. I mean, I keep telling myself to get over it … the sweet boy will be gone for most of the summer, and I am upset over a couple of days with his dad ?

I did nothing … I moped around … stayed in my jammies … did a little scrapbooking … watched about 15 movies … read 2 books … but it was never enough … I just wanted to lay down, and wait for the weekend to be over …

Do I sound like a loser ?

On Sunday I got to talk to the DS while he was at my mothers … he was riding his go-kart. My mom said he looked so cute, driving in circles around the yard … talking to me on the phone … he looked like he was on a cell phone, and driving one handed ! I can’t wait to take pictures of him driving that thing around this summer !

Well … I am cranky cause I am soooo busy at work, and getting nothing done … not even 1 step forward, and 2 back … it’s worse than that !

Thirsty ...

Ugh ... this morning I woke up ... thirsty. Nothing has satisfied my quench for thirst ... I even tried a soda, thinking the carbonation would cool me down. Nothing. So I go and sit down to pull on the ol' pantyhose, and check the highlights of last nights games ...

Sweet Mother of God ! The Red Sox creamed the MFY's 9-5 ! That makes my day ... It appears the quench has been satisfied ... nothing has made me happier yet today, but then again it is only 8:15 am ! I don't feel all that guilty thining Secret Agent JD had a hand in helping the RS win ... nope no guilt ... at least yet ... And after reading all of this crap about A-Rod's mantra crap ... makes me glad that those MFY's had a big ol' glass of Choke Cola !

Well ... I am still counting down until MY game day at Fenway ... 87 days ... the time is flying ...

This weekend I took the DS shopping ... since he suffered through clothes shopping, I got him a little something as well ... We got the Guitar Hero for our PS2 ! This thing is awesome ... You don't have to know how to play the guitar, you just strum and play the color coded fret buttons ... I swear to you ... this thing is SO MUCH FUN ! Since we got this, my ds is singing Iron Man by Black Sabbath ... he sings "I am Iron Man, dadadada .... (yes, he just hums the rest, but he thinks it's great ... he wants me to buy him the CD ... ) I think I will be keeping this game home with me over the summer, instead of sending it to Grandma & Grampa's house with the DS !

Counting Down ...

I have a one track mind lately. I can honestly say that the first thing I do when I get to work in the morning is check the calendar for the countdown to the Enclavian Slumber Party. I don't have a lot to look forward to except this weekend in Boston. I began counting down at 180 days, and today we are sitting at 93 days until game day.

I have been running on little sleep lately ... Saturday morning is the only time I get to relax because my DS will go downstairs and watch cartoons and let me be for awhile. Nothing has been helping ... Tylenol PM is not really my friend anymore ... it doesn't help me sleep ... So I end up popping in a movie after the 10:00 news ... and hope like hell it knocks me out until the alarm goes off ...

Well ... enough of this ... I feel like I have nothing to share ... my fingers will not spill the beans, so to speak ... and put my emotions on the page ...

Well, I realize it has been quite some time since I have been here. I have been busy with a lot of things and sometimes, to my dismay, I just don’t have the time to do anything for me. I guess that’s part of being a parent, or not …

Well … what shall I share with everyone ? There is not much new and exciting in my life.

I have been busy scrapbook shopping … got to buy all things baseball (MFY’s and Red Sox) for the Enclavian Slumber Party. I try to buy anything Red Sox … and I even found an embellishment of Fenway Park ! That was super exciting !!!

Oh … speaking of the Enclave trip … I got to talk to some of my fellow slumberers on the phone this weekend. It is so damn exciting ! No, don’t laugh … because I am serious ! I called Trot … and we visited … and she is cute and funny … and she’s my age … so I can’t wait to meet her. We conferenced on E for awhile … and then we hung up … Later that night I called Mellie … and we three-wayed with E then too ! … the three of us talked for 3 hours ! Then E left us and Mellie and I chatted for about another 2 …. Gosh … I swear that phone was glued to my ear and it was ringing the next day ! LOL !

I like to come here and just ramble … nothing is any sertain order … I just let it flow. That’s me. That’s who I am !

Did I mention that it is only 101 more days until game day ? Well, I guess I did now, didn't I ?!!?

Also ... let me take a moment to wish Doug Mirabelli a belated "WELCOME THE HELL BACK TO BOSTON !" Oh, god ... I love it ...

Tonight is the night ... OMG ... Johnny returns to Fenway ! Do you see him ... thinking "Why in the hell did I leave Boston?"

I am so worried about him that I am making myself sick ... I swear to you ... I just want him to be careful ... and I want the Yankess to lose ... I desperately want the Red Sox to cream those MFY's ... but in the same breath, I wish Johnny well. I don't want the fans to be cruel and rude. I just want to smother him with love, and tell him everything is going to be ok ... but I know it's not.

All I can say is ... Have a good first at bat, Johnny ... GO RED SOX !

Well, today is just another day. I still have my cold … it’s just draggin on … it’s rather annoying.

Well, Johnny is going to be on the Martha Stewart show tomorrow … I will be taping it, of course. I heard he is going to be helping make a superb supper … Uh, Johnny, dear … you can come and cook dinner for me anytime !

The Cheer Johnny site is looking good, I even got my name on their with some comments I submitted to the author. YAY ! Does that mean I am famous … now that I am mentioned on another blog ??? LOL !

Well, seriously … I am so boring right now … it’s not funny … quit laughing ! You are hurting my feelings ! Although I have been following a bit of the Red Sox games so far … but being in Wisconsin, they are hard to catch. I do my best, so I try to watch the play-by-plays on the computer for day games. I just can’t concentrate on anything but the upcoming game day for my fellow Enclavians and I. Only 115 days until game day ! ! ! ! !

Yesterday I did a bit of Ebay shopping. I bough the most adorable baseball themed scrapbook. I also picked up a bunch of Red Sox embellishments and, uh, (cough) a couple of NYY things too … Well, I had to. Since we are going to see Johnny Damon play against the Red Sox it was the right thing to do … and he’s the reason we're going … and what if … WHAT IF we get to MEET him ????!!???? Then I will have to have a NYY’s page in the book. That’s all there is to it.
I mean, really, how cute is that book ???? It will be perfect ... and on the back it has the RS symbol ... (sigh ... )

I disagree ! Johnny was a key player in helping the Boston Red Sox in "Reversing the Curse" and winning the World Series in 2004.

Feelings ...

I have been quite the past few days. I have been dealing with my own inner demons. Way back to my post, I talked about someone I loved. Well, of course I always will have love for this person … but I can never talk to this person again. There is a long story behind it, and I will spare you the details … but after 5 months of there being no “us”, he is already engaged to be married … or so says his answering machine.

How does a grown man do this ? He’s already been divorced and he’s a little leary of women as it is, and now he’s getting married ???? WHAT THE “F” EVER !

I am itching to send an email saying “Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials, I really wish you a life full of misery and poor sex !” Non existent sex would be fine too … beggars can’t be choosers.

Right now I am in the “HATE” mode, and hope to move past it soon. With that being said, I will quote Bree from Desperate Housewives. “If you hate, you still have feelings for that person, you need to move on to feeling indifferent.” Well, that may not be exact, but that’s basically what she said … She is a wise woman.

Anyhow … I am MOVING on … (wish me luck …) No more sitting around, thinking things will change … we will work it out … Nope, I am finished with that … and it’s about damn time if I must say so myself. I am too young to be pining for some jerk face loser …



Let’s talk about something upbeat, shall we ? Like Sir Johnny Damon ????? sigh … he is one hunky man … He’s going to be on Martha Stewart’s show on 4/26/06 … will have to tape that one … I hope they do something manly, like grill meat ! Now I know Martha is a good friend of, puke!, George Steinbrenners ... but she better make my man feel special ! TREAT HIM LIKE A KING !

Only 120 more days until game day everyone. I cannot wait. I am needing something fun right now, and a nice shot of JD’s butt would do the trick ! The man just has a wonderful body ... he's so easy on the eyes ... makes the heart beat a little faster !

He was on ESPN w/ Dan Patrick on Tuesday ... had to get the headphones on so I could listen on my break at work .. They saved the best for last ... they do that a lot with him ... because they know they will have people waiting and listening until they hear beloved's voice over the airwaves ... My fellow Enclavians were keeping us updated with when he would be on ... THANKS LADIES ! You are great friends ...

Owww ... My shoulder/back is killing me today as an effect from the whiplash when I was in that car accident. It almost hurts to breathe ... Not a fun day ... My poor co-workers are putting up with a LOT of whining today !

So ... I know you are all wanting to know where we stand on the countdown to Game Day at Fenway ! We are only 128 days away from the Enclave Game !! !! !! Wow ... I am so excited ... I just can't wait to see Johnny play ... I know he will be playing in pinstripes/grey ... but I still will get to see him !!! That is all that matters ... As long as I am talking about Johnny, I would like to say that I am pretty friggin irritated with all of these jerk-off's that are saying they should "BEAN JOHNNY" or "THROW BATTERIES" at him ... What is the matter with these people ? These are the people who loved him last year ... I realize they feel betrayed, burned ... but do we really need to resort to this act of violence ? There has been a lot of talk about giving JD a standing "O" on May 1st when he returns for his game at Fenway ... I think he deserves one ... I just don't want people to forget all that he did for the RS while he was there ... (am I beating a dead horse here ?)

And I just want to mention how great Johnny looked on David Letterman this week !!!

Goodness, I haven't gone out for a long time with my friends, so I am overdue, and excited to be going ... I don't like to go out when the DS is home with me ... I prefer to stay home with him than to get him a babysitter or anything. I figure I am away from him all day while I am at work and he is at school, so our time together needs to count for something good ...

Well, people ... 133 days until game day ... I am so excited ... I have some wonderful things in the works, and for now I am just saying "Enclave friends, keep your fingers crossed for a wonderful treat !" It could be a little something, or a big something ... you won't know until we get there ! Or will you ? Hmmmm ....

Well, it's only Tuesday ... ** BORING **

So, my mother purchased the DS a go-kart ... It looks like a lot of fun ... I am posting a pic of it, except his has the roll cage so he can't go flying out. We have some land in Northern Minnesota, where we are from, w/ some sand/gravel pits ... perfect place for him to tear it up on this thing ! I am so jealous, I wish I had one of these things when I was little.

The Red Sox won yesterday !!! WAY TO GO BOY'S !!! I am so glad we started off the season with a win ... but, unfortunately, the yankess won too ... bummer ... It is so nice to see these boys back in uniform, getting dirty and sweaty, and ... uh ... I will stop there !


I had a dream last night, about my Johnny ... I lay drifting off to sleep, thinking about seeing Johnny in August ... and meeting my fellow Enclavians ...

"... we were all there, the Enclave members ... we saw Johnny at BP, and he invited us down to the field ... so we were like OK !!! ... we visited with him while he was swinging, he was laughing, genuinely enjoying himself, and then he said aloud that maybe we could have drinks after the game ... we all look at each other and say "HELL YES !" .... the game went on and he played well, but they lost !!!! We hurried to the hotel to change, and rushed out where we met him at some nice hotel/bar/restaurant ... and we visited for about an hour (in dream time !) and had 2 drinks ... all of us sitting around a big round table with him ... then Johnny said that it was fun, he was enjoying himself, and maybe we should keep it going and have a bite to eat ... so we went and sat at another table and ordered dinner ... he then hugged us goodbye ... "

There was nothing dirty about the dream ... just the realization that he is a great guy ... and some wishful thinking that he will want to meet us women in 136 days when we see him !

Welcome Leonardo Numchuck

Hello today friends. For some reason I keep thinking today is Friday, but unfortunately it is only Thursday. DAMN !

Well, last night I took the DS to buy a new fish. He is a very handsome Beta, he has a lot of red to him, and a beautiful tail. His name is Leonardo Numchuck Novy. The DS likes to give things middle names, I think it is cute. I bought some new fish food last night too, and then today I overfed the damn thing! Am I being punished or something ???? Anyhow, the picture is not of our own Leonardo, but another reddish beta ... Leonardo is much more handsome than that !

Anyone read the NY post this week? What is the deal with Randy Johnson ? It has been bugging me that this Christian man has a daughter out there from an old girlfriend that he doesn’t care to know. He just pays them every month and leaves it at that, and now that the Mom has asked him for some help to pay for college and a reliable car for his daughter, he is going to sue the woman for overpaying his child support. Well it is his own fault that he kept paying her for daycare expenses when she is now 16, it’s just him being a dumb a$$. The guy is a flippin millionaire and this is what he decides to do, for $93,000 he over payed her … JERK ! I don’t like when dad’s do that stuff, I have a hard enough time w/ my own DS’s father … no offense.

Today I am debating of going home to my parents for the weekend. My friend became a father at the beginning of the month and I would love to see my “niece”. I always get to be an auntie, because I am an only child. I have great best friends from high school whom my DS calls auntie and uncle – and they now return the favor. So I am feeling the need to go home and see her, and buy her some girlie things !

My mom and dad are going to be remodeling their house, so my bedroom will be moved to the basement … and the DS’s stuff will move into mine. That is another reason to go home, stay in MY room one last time !!!! Not that it is really my room anymore, none of my stuff is really in there, except for the Graduation Barbie I got in 1997, when I graduated from high school, she even has a purple cap and gown, like me !

R.I.P K.C. Jones

So, last night, my DS’s fish died. He was a beta … his name was K.C. B.B. Gun Jones. He was a good fish, never complained, was always happy, and really friendly for a fish. Seriously, this fish would come to the top of the bowl, and blow bubbles at you when you talked to him …

I had changed K.C.’s water on Sunday night, and I use bottled water (only the best for our fish !) and he was happy, and swimming around. He was fine in the morning when I fed him … when I was getting ready to go upstairs last night I was gonna drop another pellet of food in there for a snack, and noticed the water was cloudy-ish. So, I go down and look, and sure enough, the fish had died. I feel awful.

I debated: do I tell the DS or do I buy a new fish ? I told him, and he was so heartbroken. We are going to buy a new one tonight, but the DS says he will always love K.C. We said a little prayer, and flushed him into fish heaven. DS wanted to bury him, but I convinced him that flushing is better, cause fish like water.

I knew that the DS would want to sleep in my room last night, and sure enough he did. Now he is worried that I will die suddenly, like his fish. (Evil Mom I am, thinks this will work to my advantage, and help straighten him up w/ the crappy attitude he’s been having lately ! mmwwhhhaaahaha !)

Onto happier thoughts, my fellow Enclavers and I are going on some sort of a diet/exercise regimen … we are each other’s support system, however we have no goals ! It’s been an interesting day so far …

Well, today is just another day. Nothing great or wonderful will be happening, it never does. All I have to look forward to is taking the DS out for our routine Tuesday night dinner, and a stop at the movie store, but I don’t really want to buy King Kong … I heard bad things about it … do you have a suggestion ?

I am still counting down the days to the Slumber Party of the Enclave, only 143 more days. I wish I could hit fast forward and be only 10 days from now. I am ready for baseball to start … to hell with ST … bring on the regular season and the playoff’s ! I am still obsessing over Johnny D. He is what does it for me, I tell ya ! He’s great … and seeing him in person will make my trip to Boston complete.

Today, my fellow Enclavers and I were talking about drinking. Where we want to go for cocktails, what kind of beer/cocktails we want to have, what types of booze to bring to the hotel room. This is a party after all, and what party is complete without alcohol ??? I better start practicing up … build up my tolerance ! I am ready for a weekend of naughtiness … hope they don’t read this and see what I am saying … don’t want to scare them off … now if JD factored into the naughtiness, that’s another story … but the prick is married and his wife (I got shivers down my spine there) probably won’t let him run amok with his cyber wives … Maybe next time !

Well, I just need to say that I got my haircut this weekend … I used to keep it long for some asshole guy, and now to cleanse myself of him, I cut it … I go through these stages periodically, so pay no attention …

Today is Friday. THANK GOODNESS ! It has been a very long week !

I woke up this morning at 4:15 am – I had to be somewhere by 5:30 am so I could purchase some raffle tickets for a chance to win 6 tickets plus round trip limousine transportation to St Paul, MN to see Kid Rock ! The tickets wee $10.00 each – and I bought 5 – they were only selling 100 of them. My friend bought 10, and the other one bought 2 – so we have 17 tickets amongst us … the odds are good … So, we go to breakfast before work since it is only like 6:20 am, after I drop my son off at school I look at one of my friends and we know, we just know we should stop any buy a couple more … so we do … I really want to take my mom and dad with me to the concert … they would LOVE it.

I have NO plans for the weekend … taking the DS to a birthday party and then he has a hockey banquet / dinner in the evening. I love that he has all of these hockey trophy’s in his room, it makes me so proud. Coming from the North country of the Midwest hockey runs through your blood … I grew up watching my cousins all play, and I love that my son now plays … Sending him off to hockey camp again this summer, he got better this season after having practiced in the off season. The DS is only 6, and most everyone else on his team is 8, but he can compete … He just needs to practice, pay attention, and play!

Well, I am still counting down for my trip … Can you believe we are down to 147 days until game day ? WOW ! I just get so excited when I think about this. Anyone reading this that is going with … are you as excited as I am ???? We are still working on where we are going to stay … there are some really nice hotels out there … we should have a nice time …

Well … I should stop rambling … I tend to do that … SORRY !

Wow … what to do, what to do ?!? On my last post I talked about the DS’s friend, and how they behaved with each other … well now his mom called and wants us to have dinner together again … I don’t know that I can handle these kids behaving naughty like they did last week … URGH !

So, today I have physical therapy for my back and neck, I am a bit sore today, so I hope it helps.

Now that Spring is approaching, I am starting to get out of my funk. I think I get a bit depressed at the end of winter, and now I am feeling more upbeat. I want to do more things, and make plans to do stuff, and do the spring cleaning … now if I could only convince myself to do those 43 loads of laundry that is piling up in the laundry room.

This week, as I was doing some laundry … I noticed that I have a tendency to buy skirts, and not wear them. I have about 15 skirts in my closet that I have never worn, I probably bought them on sale, and there they have stayed, on the hanger. So, the other night I was at the store. I walk past the center clearance rack, and what do I see ? A purple skirt for $1.00. Do I walk past and leave it there for someone else ? No, I quickly grab it and put it in my cart and tell myself that I will wear it. Do I think I will ? Ummm, probably … not, but I am going to put a good effort and try !

So, as for the upcoming trip to Boston. Only 150 more days. I am getting excited. I am starting to look at prices for my airline ticket, we are also trying to narrow down where we want to stay. We have 7 people going … so we are going to try for 2 adjoining rooms to make the slumber party more spacious and roomy … FTLOG … I am going to see Johnny Damon … in 150 days … (faints … ) I am debating on what kind of sign I want to make … a friend that is coming suggested something dirty, go figure … It would be cute … picture this … A picture of Johnny
