Age: 23
Hansen showed solid command in the minors, notched a 1.82 ERA in 59.2 innings and coughed up not a single home run. To indulge in understatement for a moment, things did not go so swimmingly after his promotion to Boston. In '07, however, Hansen figures to make strides, and, should Joel Pineiro flop in his new role, he might he even wind up with some save opportunities. Long-term, he remains a highly promising young reliever.

He had his first outing of the preseason yesterday in the Sox' 11-10 win. Rusty, but no back pain. Good luck to the ds and the hockey!! And to you too Novy.
