It's gonna be a long day.
I came into work early today and we have hockey tonight, so who knows when I will get home.
I have some errands to run after hockey, I suppose I could do them DURING practice, but I prefer to be there to watch. What if something happened to me driving in rush hour traffic, and the ds was done with practice, waiting for me? It's just better to wait there. I keep my MP3 player in my purse so I can zone out on the game and listen to some good tunes.
The ds is having a friend sleepover this weekend. He needed to make sure his room was clean last night ... and he did an excellent job. I was very proud. So, if he keeps it that way until Friday, I will put the PS2 in his room. It beats having the kids playing video games in my room ... then I can have some peace !
OOOH ... and I watched Prison Break on FOX last night ... it was awesome ... you can't trust anyone apparently.

Good Morning, Good Morning ! It's a beautiful day ...
The weekend went by so fast. It was very nice - relaxing - quiet.
The ds had hockey on Saturday. It went really well, I was proud of how hard he was working out there.
We went out for lunch on Saturday. Nothing fancy - I just didn't feel like cooking. When do I ever? We just hung out and had a quiet day. We each read a book and just chilled.
Sunday we went to see The Santa Clause III ... what a cute movie this is! It helped me get a little excited for the upcoming holiday season. This will pass I am sure, but I hope it stays. It's been rough these past couple of Christmas's ... I just haven't been enjoying the decorating or baking. I have so much other stuff going on that it is more of a nuisance than anything. I have been giving myself the pep talk ... hopefully this year will be different.
The Christmas shopping has taken it's toll on me as well. I hate the other shoppers. Last year I actually yelled at a woman that is was because of her rudeness that I hate the holidays. I felt like I was falling off the deep end. So, this year, I vow to do as much online or catalog shopping as humanly possible.

Today I have so much to do. I have a 4 hour training this morning ... and it has me feeling a little overwhelmed. However, I keep telling myself " I am Novy, I can accomplish anything because I am strong enough to push through and stand tall. I have the confidence it takes to tackle this new project ..." ok ... LOL ... I think if I really say that I will start to laugh ... but, it was a good pep talk!
Tonight we have hockey again ... and I'm going to miss Ugly Betty ! I will just make it home in time to watch Grey's Anatomy which is a MUST SEE !! Can't. Miss. One. Second.
Ugh ... I have this back pain today ... so I am running on about 3 hours of sleep. No matter how I lay, I was in pain. So, nothing is in my favor today. :(

I tood the ds trick or treating last night ... and boy, was it cold ! We went for about 2 hours and I couldn't take anymore, so we went out for dinner. We both had a cup of hot chocolate and it hurt my teeth I was so cold.
Ah, but the ds got a ton of candy I will probably end up throwing away because he will forget about it or get tired of it for a while. Thank goodness. There is a local dentist who pays you for your halloween candy by the pound ... I should do that!
Well, 'Nifer is off to ol Mississippi ... if she drove straight through, she would be there by now, but I haven't heard from her yet. I hope she stopped for a couple hours of sleep though, that's a long haul when you are driving by yourself.
I am lost right now. My friend Mel said it best when she asked "Is it baseball season yet?" ... I'm ready ... I want it back. I need something to focus on.

I love halloween ... well, when I was a kid I did. Now, I wonder who in their right mind came up with such a holiday. I mean, parents buy costumes for their kids, and strangers buy $40.00+ dollars worth of candy to give to little brats that come and ring their doorbell all night? WHAT? Eh ... maybe I am just a scrooge ... we are going trick-or-treating tonight so the ds can fill up on junk ... and then we will stop for dinner.
I dressed up today. Really ... I did. I have on jeans and a sweatshirt w/ my Red Sox (w/ the socks) hat. So, now, imagine you come up to me and ask me what I am supposed to be. I would show you a baseball (that has the beloved RS logo on it) and a handheld fan ... LOL !

Busy, busy, busy ...
Wow, what a weekend ... it was a busy one.
Friday, of course, I went scrapbooking with some scrappin friends. It was fun ... I didn't get a ton done, I was more interested in watching others and shopping. I did get a couple of pages done, so I can't complain.
Saturday I slept in ... It felt awesome for the world. I woke up, and got busy cleaning in the ds's room. It looks great - I hung up some more pictures and moved around some furniture. I was quite relived to have gotten so much done.
Sunday. DRAMA! No, not really, but it felt like it. LOL !
I took the ds to the movie theatre, we saw "The Guardian" with Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher. It was really good, a tear jerker. I can't wait to buy it.
I called my friend Jerry to wish him a happy birthday. He didn't sound like himself, so I inquired, and he was going to break up with his girlfriend. I feel bad for him, and I have never met her, but he didn't seem happy. We just want him to be happy cause he's such a great guy.
The ds lost a tooth last night. He came to show me and then he dropped it on the floor, it took 15 minutes to find it. He then went to go and clean it up for the tooth fairy, and proceeded to drop it down the drain. I had him write a letter to the Tooth Fairy, and he didn't think it would work, but it did. He told the TF where it was and the TF left him $5.00 ! For Real ! $5.00 !!! When I was a kid I got like $1.00 ... kids are spoiled these days.
I am ticked about the World Series. I have nothing left to say on the matter, except that it sucks, but the better team won.
... I lead a boring life ... really ...

Sleep Deprived ...
Good Morning. Once again, it's Friday.
I fell asleep with the TV on last night, watching the disastrous Tigers game last night. So, anyway, I wake up at 5:59 (well, it was really 5:29 cause I keep my clock 30 minutes fast in my bedroom) to hear the news people say "At 2:00am, set your clock back an hour". I am thinking, wow, I get another hour of sleep now, and then I thought - no, you do that on Saturday. So, I was all confused and had to call my mom and find out what day it was!
So, tonight I am off to scrapbook. It's a potluck night at the scrapbook store I am going to, along with a potluck at work. I am going to work on some more of my Fenway pictures, but need to buy more baseball themed paper. I am excited to finish up this book.

- Hump Day -
Woo Hoo ! It' s Wednesday !
Well, last night, I brought the ds back to hockey - we are going to be trying out the Goalie equipment the first part of the season. The coach thinks the ds would be a good fit, he tried it last year and seemed to enjoy it. I'm game.
I got a package in the mail from my Dad and Step-Mom yesterday. In this large package, were some of the things I bought on the Cape this August. I love to go shopping when I am there, so I know I can get whatever I want because they'll ship it home for me.
I forgot what I had bought even. I had gotten some kitchen glasses, that match the ones I already have, and I can't find them anymore - so I got 4 extra's. I picked up some small glass baskets, small decorative planter, Red Sox History book, scrapbooking paper, scented wax that I can only find at A.C. Moore - I'm rather particular. I had bought some clothes for the ds and some stained glass things for gifts. It was like Christmas.
Included was a copy of the picture of me from the Red Sox / MFY game that was on the BDD site and then the tape of the game I attended. I started watching it last night, searching center field for a glimpse of myself or my Enclavian friends. It's funny, watching it, because I saw it live, but it's a different view of the game. I was out in the field, behind my former beloved, so I got to watch his face, rather than his butt. Also, seeing Coco's face dive was different from the front than from behind ... it looked like he didn't get up because he was embarrassed that he missed the catch for the out, rather than possible injury ... but what do I know.
So, I am only into the start of the 3rd inning, and it's rough to relive this game, but I am gonna watch it, just in hopes of a glimpse of my friends or I.

H-O-C-K-E-Y
Well, it started ... hockey season has begun. We started last night - it was nice to be back in the chilling arena.
I am taking the ds again tonight, to tryout for the next level. He needs to be pushed and needs more training and practice on the game itself, not just skating. The kids need more than what they are getting ... but ... it's gonna cost me, and a pretty penny at that. I am gonna have to fork out a couple hundred bucks if they take him ... and donate 20-30 hours of my time throughout the season.
Jebus. Maybe I should try and convince the ds to play basketball instead.

Ugh. I hate Monday's.
This morning it was so dark when I woke up, I thought I forgot to change the clocks, but that's next weekend. I had to check.
I was so busy this weekend! I bought some new shelving units as I was overwhelmed w/ the DVD's all over the living room - and I bought the ds a new tv stand, so I had to put everything together - I even got out the cordless drill !
Good Job Tigers ! Tied up the series ... WAY TO GO ! Let's take the next 3 in St. Louis ! Please ...

I am a little pissed at McDreamy right now ... F*^% him ... he better be making things right ... well, I haven't even seen next week's show obviously ... but just the sneak peek pissed me off ...

Lots of laughs ...
So ... as I have previously mentioned ... I have about 400 DVD's ... I am a movie junkie ...
I keep a list of them on a spreadsheet, in alphabetical order.
My friends will ask for the list, and then borrow a couple of movies ... whatever. That's fine. Why spend the money, when I have the movie, and am not watching it, right?

o, I had just boughten The Lake House a couple weeks ago. I only had it a few days before my friend Remy asked to borrow it. LOL ... this is where it gets funny. I was in no hurry to get it back, I watched it already. Well, I told her that there would be late charges for not watching it because her husband wanted to see it too, and they were short on time.
On 10/13/06, while I was scrapping, her husband calls my cell phone. So I explained to him that it would be a dollar a day for each day they had the movie ... (a girls gotta make a living, right?) Hahaha ...
Two weeks was how long they had it ... (remember, this does not bother me, but I think it's funny cause her husband was ragging me.) So, today, I sent the Docmeister a bill for $10.00. It is for late fee's.
He's gonna be like "WTF?" HAHAHA !! I told my friend Remy what I was doing and she thinks it's hilarious ...
I even included a remittance stub!
I expect another phone call, only this time regarding his bill from Novy's Movie Rentals !!!!

Well, last night, 10/18/06, the Mets beat out the Cardinals 4-2. The NY Mets force the Cardinals to a duel, winner-takes-all match up to compete for the NLCS title. I, along with all of Detroit, and all other baseball fans are eagerly awaiting the news of who will be facing off against the Tigers in the 'ship.
LOST - What the hell is up with this show? It takes so many twists and turns, but I am still intrigued by it ... and the ds loved seeing th polar bear again.
Nothing on the agenda today ... It's just a plain old Thursday, and I am stuck wearing G.D. pantyhose ... I haven't decided who invented them ... the Devil or George Steinbrenner.

I know, I know, I am making a late appearance today, but I needed to sleep in a bit this morning. I didn’t get home until 9:00 last night – and I had left for work at 6:00 am – so I was gone for what, 15 hours yesterday ? It was a long day.
Conferences went good. My ds’s teacher likes me, so my conference was 1 hour and 40 minutes. She likes to thank me for all that I do for his education and knows that it isn’t easy being a single mom. Sometimes I need to be told that I am doing an OK job … I work full time, and can’t always be the mom that volunteers for everything, but I do what I can.
I did end up buying The Break-Up yesterday. I didn’t get to watch it yet, cause we got home so late, and Boston Legal was on, but I fell asleep! *sigh*
So, I see that the Cardinals won last night. I don’t really know how I feel about that. I guess I want the Mets to go to the World Series, but then again, I hate the National League, so I don’t care. … … … Wait for it … … … *sigh*
So … that’s it in a nutshell today.
I would like to send warm fuzzy feelings out to my friend JTT … I am thinking of you today !

*sigh* It's only Tuesday. It's been a long week already.
I have conferences with the ds's teacher tonight, and I promised we would stop at the book fair and pick up a couple of books for him. I hope things go well. Since the conferences aren't until after supper time, I thought I would take him out for a burger first ...
The Break-Up comes out on DVD today. I am so excited, I'll probably stop and buy it ... Tuesday's are one of my favorite days of the week because that's when all the new movie releases come out on DVD, and I don't need an excuse to buy a DVD. Movies are a small joy in my life ... so it's ok.
A co-worker brought in some delicious doughnuts this morning as it's her birthday ... I needed a sugary sweet this morning ... well ANY morning actually.
I am reading this new book by Patricia Cornwell. Predator. I'm only about 80 pages in, but I am intrigued. I have read all of her Kay Scarpetta books. They are to die for, no pun intended. I am usually into the romance books but these books all tie into each other, and I have been reading them for over 10 years, so I can't stop now.

Ebay ...
I love eBay ... I buy a ton of stuff there ... and I always get some amazing deals.
It hasn't come out yet, but I have decided to wait on pre-ordering Guitar Hero II for the PS2, thinking it will be a much better deal on eBay than Best Buy or some video game store. My ds and I love Guitar Hero - and it has actually prompted me to buy a lot of classic Rock cd's. Smoke on the water by Deep Purple is the ds's favorite song - it is tied with Iron Man by Black Sabbath. This son of mine knows all the words, it is hil-ar-i-ous !! The new game is supposed to have 55 new songs ... and we can't wait to try and master them ... a little Guns-n-Roses anyone? LOL!
I buy a ton of my scrapbook stuff on eBay too. This year I may do ALL of my Christmas shopping on eBay. I am not big on shopping, ESPECIALLY over the holidays. Ugh. I am starving today ... The catering company we have here has made swedish meatballs & seasoned pasta ... good stuff ... but the noodles are hard and clumped together ... I'll survive I guess. And I would also like to mention they put a ton of mushrooms in there ... and I hate mushrooms.

I am wicked tired this morning ... I knew I shouldn't have taken that little nap yesterday afternoon. It screwed with my whole day!
The ds came home from his dad's yesterday ... he didn't have a nice weekend and he never wants to go back. Lucky for me, I know he will change his mind when it's time to go again. I don't think they are getting along well. He says all they do is yell at him ... poor kid. It's hard going from one house to another - with the houses having different rules to follow. He apparently got yelled at for bringing his dad the phone and the dog got out ... Relax ... enjoy the time with your child ... his dad needs to remember that his time shouldn't be taken for granted.
OK ... enough with that attitude ... moving on ...
We just got a new Coleman air mattress thingy ... In case I go camping ... so the ds and I blew it up in the living room yesterday and laid on it and watched a little TV after dinner - he had a blast and wants to do it again this weekend, only we have to sleep on it and have popcorn ! LOL! I'll go buy a new movie or something and we can have a fun night!
That ds of mine is funny ... for Christmas last year a friend of mine made me a Red Sox blanket. He is NOT allowed to use it unless he has special permission. So, we were laying down last night on the air mattress and we each had a blanket - so he then covered us both up with the Red Sox blanket - "since it's a special night". I got lucky and have a sweet child.
And hockey has now started for the ds ... well, next week it does. I am looking foward to this - it's so much fun!
Scrapping was fun ... I did some girly pages of my cousin's daughters - it was fun because I got to use PINK paper's and pretty things ... not just boy stuff! I even bought a pink album to use for them ... Now I just need more pictures of the girls!
I also worked on the Enclavian Slumber Party book ... it's coming along really well. I did 2 layouts (4 pages) of our dinner and drinks at Skipjacks ... I also did a page of me w/ Fanny the Fenway Cow ... LOL!
Yes, and before I forget:

Damn the Garlic Dip!
OK ... so for our potluck today I was requested to bring my world famous Garlic Dip.
Well, my parents were here 2 weeks ago for an extended weekend, and I couldn't find the mixer this morning, as my mom does all the cooking when they come down, and puts stuff in the wrong cupboards. So, I went to make the dip this morning, and there was no mixer ... I didn't call her to say "WHERE THE HELL IS IT?" because she was on her way to work ...
So, I stopped at the grocery store and bought some cream puffs and some good cookies ... but ... I should have boughten a new mixer by the sounds of it.
I have been harrassed all day, due to not bringing the precious dip. I always bring the dip. ALWAYS!
Maybe next week I will surprise them and bring in a random treat ... just so they get off my back! LOL !

It is not fair to have all the bad stuff happen to you ...
A small 4 seater plane crashed into a NYC high rise this afternoon.
I send prayers and thoughts to everyone. The NYC fireman are so brave after 9/11 to enter these burning buildings, and when an airplane is involved, it didn't stop them. They did their job - they truly are heros.
I realize this is not on a grand scale compared to what happened 5 years ago ... but it's heart wrenching all the same.

The plane that crashed today in NYC was registered to MFY Cory Lidle. He is feared dead. My prayers are with his family at such a sad time.

"There was a mayday, FAA reports, from the pilot involving a problem with fuel before the aircraft crashed into the 50-story high-rise on Manhattan's East Side."

Last night excited me ... If my beloved Red Sox couldn't be in the playoff's or the World Series ... let it be a team from the Midwest!
I was so happy to see the Detroit Tigers pounce on the A's ! 5-1 ! Good Job ... Nice homer Brandon Inge !
Well ... Dammit ... I'm down in the dumps ... it's gonna snow today! Snow! I'm not ready for it. I have so much to do to get ready - work in the garage and move the ds's go-kart so I can get my car back in there. I want to clean up my laundry room and add a 5 foot table and lamp to keep all my scrapbook supplies in there. I need somewhere to go, a little space of my own, but my ds disagrees's with me on that. Hey, maybe I should move HIM to the laundry room and take over his bedroom - it's plenty big enough - and I would like his room much more. LOL!
I need to do something. I need to join something or make a commitment to do something every week or every month. I am falling into a rut and it's devestating. I want to be out of this funk I am in - I want to do more than come home from work, and cook dinner, and go to bed. Hockey season for my wonderful ds is approaching so at least that gives me something to do 2-3 nights a week.
Well, today I entered in my 2007 vacation picks. My wonderful Enclavian friends and I want to get together in Boston again. We have decided to NOT attend another MFY series game. It was rough - and I just don't know that I want to go through that again. So - let's pray I get one of my picks, so I can attend at least one of my series's of choice. The atmosphere at Fenway is incredible - we all love Boston - and I think just being able to hang out and spend time with these wonderful friends of mine is something I need to do.
Hey, I am blessed to have great friends, here, at home too. I don't know what I would do without my 'Nifer or Rem or Berk ... they are superb friends ... and they put up with alot of my crap ... they let me talk about baseball all day ... and it's funny ... cause they don't care about it!
'Nifer and I are going to scrap on Friday. I am looking forward to that ... I want to finish up the pages from my Enclavian Slumber Party trip and the Red Sox/MFY game ... I have some pictures to do of my cousins daughters too. I am looking forward to that because I have a son, and never get to play with pink paper or girly embellishments ... it's gonna be fun.

More of Fenway ...
I want to go back to Boston with my Enclavian Bitches for another game of our beloved Red Sox in 2007. I don't know that I could handle another Red Sox/Yankee game ... that was a little rough on me.

- Redneck Reunion 2006 -
This past weekend, I went home for the weekend to celebrate the first annual Redneck Reunion. This was a bunch of friends that I have not seen in about 4 years – I almost didn’t make it, and then at the last minute, literally, I decided to go.
I left work at Noon on Friday and made the 6 hour trip up North. I went out to the cabin, and unloaded my car – and started mixing up some bloody mary’s for Saturday and some strawberry daquiri’s for that night. I was so happy to see Jerry. El’ Captain was there, too – and Travis & G.I. Joe showed up. I was patiently waiting for Kristi to arrive, as I hadn’t seen her since I moved away. D, B, & T arrived and then Kristi … away to the bar we went !
Once at the bar we ran into other people from town and the old days … Joe Goose was there !!!! YAY ! Always nice to see that goose song singing, guitar strumming man. We got to see Goose and Jerry sing some of their famous redneck songs … go country bullet!
Anyway, I digress. Booze was flowing, Beer cans and bottles were opening … let us not forget that chew tins were being passed around and chew was flying (yuck!). It was a long, wonderful night of drunkenness. I think I finally went to bed at 4 in the morning.
I wake up to Jerry yelling about finding condoms all over the place – and he’s pissed cause they aren’t his! I get my drunk ass outta bed, and pour myself a big ol’ bloody mary and go outside before it rains. I took a sauna, got dressed, had another bloody, and went out to see what the new day had brought. What did it bring you ask ? Guns – Hunting Season Opener !!! So we take a walk and find some birds to shoot … I keep drinking the bloody mary’s cause I’m not shooting … then I have to eat something so we go to town and eat and ________ ! Can you fill in the blank ? Yes … DRINK ! LOL !
More people showed up that I haven’t seen in forever … I didn’t care about anything … it was just nice to see them and hear their voices. I am just under 30, but we were playing drinking games … I felt like a young’un again … It was sooo fun.
I think the next one is in December, 2006 !!! HA HA ! Guess the first was so fun, that we had to have another one …

- Enclavian Story Hour by Novy -
Where do I begin? I have been absent for awhile. Thinking things over, getting a grasp on life, coming to terms with the way things are. A lot has happened since I last posted, let’s see if I can come up with a summary of events.
Enclavian Slumber Party:
This event rocked! I met B on the Cape. We drove to pick up E, and then head to Boston to hook up with the rest of the Enclavian Bitches. We arrived at our hotel, where I immediately spotted
J on the sofa. A & T where there waiting too … We went to the room where we proceeded to hug and talk and molest our card board cut out and take dirty pictures ! LOL ! (Note: I will not be sharing these pictures to protect the innocent.)
We then went down to a sports bar to catch some pre-game Red Sox / Yankee news and have a drink and a bite to eat before heading over to Fenway. We went back the room to grab our stuff and get ready for the game … J, E, and I hopped in a cab and walked around (I hate my flip flops!) and took some pictures. It was a wicked hot day for me. We all met up at the Boston Beer Works, where JS joined us. We were only waiting for M’s flight to land, and her to rush to Fenway. We got early admittance, which was nice … and met a nice Yank (Anthony) who took our pictures …
We were at the night game of the double header … the longest game in MLB history. I got my picture taken and it was in the Fan Pictures on the BDD site … LOL ! The RS lost, but I had a great time nonetheless.
I walked back with M … very scary … I don’t think either of us knew where we were going, at walking down a dark street at 2:30 in the morning in Boston … hey, that’s kinda scary! We made it back safely.
Saturday we all went for breakfast and visited … Some of us went on a trolley tour, and others to watch the game at the bar. We did the tourist / sightseeing bit … great time, we met Fletch. We got ready for dinner, and went to SkipJacks. EXCELLENT CHOICE ! Yum ! The waiter had a thing for A … but she gave him a rough time. I worked it out though. Josh (the waiter – at least I think that was his name.) and the manager guy came over and chatted Red Sox stuff with us after our meal … It was hilarious !
We left and went back to the hotel where we stopped at the bar on the 2nd floor – they just happened to have a band … I went dancing … B joined me for the first two … then E came out with me … E can really move! But the pic of us is hilarious … I look to be about 3 feet taller than her!
Sunday morning, wake up – hugs goodbye – a little tears even. M and I caught a cab to the airport and away we went.
These are my friends … they are awesome, awesome for the world.

Well ... I am at 5 days until I head out to Cape Cod, or 9 days until my Fenway DeFlowering !
Can you believe it ? It's almost here ... I'm still not ready ... I have done about 2 things on my list ... and tonight it will be 3, since I am going to get my mani/pedi !
My DS is coming home in about 13 or 14 days ... he's been gone all summer and I miss him something awful ! He's ready to come home, he misses his mom. Poor kid is going to be in for a rude awakening though ... he's been at brat at Gramma & Grampa's and that's not gonna slide when he gets here.
So, when he gets home, we are going to have a nice weekend together and go to Chuckie Cheese - and do a little shopping !
Well, I should get busy ... time waits for no man (or woman) !

Where does the time go ?
I am feeling the need to purge my soul today, however I do not get that “deep” on my blog. I prefer to keep things upbeat around here, as I don’t check in all that frequently.
Well, I am leaving for Cape Cod in It is 13 days, 20 hours, 22 minutes and 33 seconds … Then I will catch the bus from Logan to the Cape. I’m going to spend some time with my father and his wife, along with my aunt. I will be staying a few days, then heading off to Boston for the weekend with my Enclavian Bitches.
The Enclavian people are special to me … we are all good friends … we enjoy visiting with each other – and we are going to watch a little baseball and have some drinks ! Look Out Boston !!! We have even dubbed our hotel “Enclavian Headquarters”.
I have a huge list of things to do or finish before leaving.
- Finish scrap book for Dad
- Shop for clothes for Enclave Weekend.
- Get Haircut
- Pedicure / Manicure
- Eyebrow Maintenance
- Laundry
- Pack
- Go to the Bank
- Confirm Reservations with Airline
- Clean up the house
- Go to Staind / 3 Doors Down / Seether Concert
I will stop there … I tried to be vague … my list at home is HUGE ! I am very detailed with how many pairs of underwear I will pack, and noting that I am bringing both my blowdryer and curling iron and 1 brush and 1 comb, etc …
My DS will be home the day after I return from Boston. I can’t wait to see him. He has been at gramma & grampa’s for far too long ! He’ll be home for about a week, then it’s back to school for him ! I am going to try and do something special his first weekend home – swimming, camping, park, SOMETHING !
Well, I need to get busy … I still have a lot of shopping to do and don’t know what exactly I want to buy … I hate shopping for shoes so I will buy something that is comfortable …

Well ... I suffered through a long hot weekend ... right now, as I enjoy sitting in my office building, it is 92 outside, but feels like 106 ! I hate the dew point ! I hate humidity ! URGH ! That is how the weekend went ... lucky for me I have central air at home ... but I pity those poor bastards 20 miles away who were without power for 20 hours on Saturday ! The hottest damn day and a squirrel was playing with the transformer, causing it to blow ! I pity them !
Someone brought cake to work today ! Damn them ! Cake ! Well, I had a piece, and it made me feel better.
I am getting my hair highlighted tonight ... something for me, for once.
Update: MG - I think I have convinced him it's not a good idea to come here. I told him I cannot take any time off of work to spend with him and he would be alone all day, fending for himself. He had the nerve to ask me if I would at least do the shopping for him and make him lunch before I go to work ... I don't even make the ds cold lunch for school, why would it be any different for you ? I then advised him of my upcoming trip, and he said it's a waste to come all that way for only a week or 2 and then have to leave, unless I will let him stay at my house while I am gone.
ARE YOU NUTS ???? ARE YOU CRAZY ???? No, you are not staying at my house while I am gone for a week, by yourself. I couldn't trust you to keep it in your pants before, and now you want me to give you an opportunity to invite women into my home while I am gone ????
What is wrong with people ? What has the world come to ? There was a time when I would have trusted someone to stay in my home while I was gone ... but that doesn't happen anymore ... I haven't been burned, per say ... but I have heard bad stories from friends who let someone housesit ... and I just can't deal with that.

- Sick -
Well, I am getting a visitor, I think. MG is coming to town. I am scared of him, in a way that is hard to explain. I am afraid that if I don't give him what he wants or do what he wants, he will punish me, not physically, but he will make my life hell. He is good at that. I like this guy ... except when he gets mean.
Well, I am still going off to Boston in a month. We are counting down to game day, right peoples ? 38 days ! WOW ! I am so thrilled. As I type this, we are sitting at 916 hours until game time ! (I know, I think it's a sickness to know this !)
Otherwise, life is dull. Been keeping busy - am going to the movies tomorrow, am going to see "The Devil Wears Prada" with some friends. We are going to have dinner ... and some, uh ... drinks ?!
Well, we have an All Star Game to watch tonight ... GOOD LUCK AMERICAN LEAGUE ! And EXTRA good luck to the Red Sox boys !

I am sick. I have a hangover. That is what happens when you party on a Monday & a Tuesday on a early week holiday from work. I want to crawl in a hole, and bury myself. My head is pounding. My stomach is churning. I am burping up Rum. Please, make the headache go away.

Counting ...
I am still counting the days until I see my beloved ! It is currently sitting at 57 days ... OR 1375 until game time ... or 82,522 minutes until I take my seat ... or 4,951,361 seconds until the first pitch ... This is giving me so much joy! I remember starting my countdown at 180 days ... look how far I have come, and I'm still sane !
I have lots to prepare for this weekend ... I am going camping ! Roughing it ! Well, I will be in a 40 foot motorhome w/ ice maker, washer/dryer/ 2 queen beds / 2 tv's & dvd players ... and I can shower ! All I can say is "BRING ON THE BOOZE!" We are going to a military-ish campground ... they rent out spaces for people to camp ... and it is on their base ... or some nonsense ... Let us think of hot men in uniform, shall we ?!?!

Sorry. I have been busy.
I am angry today. Yesterday I was depressed. I am so sick of riding this emotional roller coaster, I don't understand why the bastard won't let me off ! I am a good person ...

Well, the DS is now gone for the summer ... which has brought in a big flush of what I call "pity invites" ... I told that to my mother and she yelled "your friends would not invite you out if they didn't want to spend time with you !" ... I understand that ... I am so lucky to have the friends that I have ... They know when to give me the space I need, and they seem to know when I need a friend to be with ... Thank You ! And let me not forget a shout-out to the EB's who also put up with my rants and raves ...
Ok ... Well, I can see my work here is done for the day ... I am going to go and watch Laguna Beach ... I need to see someone else's drama for once, cause I am SO sick of the drama of those referred to as IT, EZ, GQ, and BF !

Well … Memorial Day is now over. This year was really hard for me … not because it was Memorial Day, but because the DS was gone for 5 days … I am used to him being gone, but this weekend hit me really hard. I mean, I keep telling myself to get over it … the sweet boy will be gone for most of the summer, and I am upset over a couple of days with his dad ?
I did nothing … I moped around … stayed in my jammies … did a little scrapbooking … watched about 15 movies … read 2 books … but it was never enough … I just wanted to lay down, and wait for the weekend to be over …
Do I sound like a loser ?
On Sunday I got to talk to the DS while he was at my mothers … he was riding his go-kart. My mom said he looked so cute, driving in circles around the yard … talking to me on the phone … he looked like he was on a cell phone, and driving one handed ! I can’t wait to take pictures of him driving that thing around this summer !
Well … I am cranky cause I am soooo busy at work, and getting nothing done … not even 1 step forward, and 2 back … it’s worse than that !

Thirsty ...
Ugh ... this morning I woke up ... thirsty. Nothing has satisfied my quench for thirst ... I even tried a soda, thinking the carbonation would cool me down. Nothing. So I go and sit down to pull on the ol' pantyhose, and check the highlights of last nights games ...
Sweet Mother of God ! The Red Sox creamed the MFY's 9-5 ! That makes my day ... It appears
the quench has been satisfied ... nothing has made me happier yet today, but then again it is only 8:15 am ! I don't feel all that guilty thining Secret Agent JD had a hand in helping the RS win ... nope no guilt ... at least yet ... And after reading all of this crap about A-Rod's mantra crap ... makes me glad that those MFY's had a big ol' glass of Choke Cola !
Well ... I am still counting down until MY game day at Fenway ... 87 days ... the time is flying ...
This weekend I took the DS shopping ... since he suffered through clothes shopping, I got him a little something as well ... We got the Guitar Hero for our PS2 ! This thing is awesome ... You don't have to know how to play the guitar, you just strum and play the color coded fret buttons ... I swear to you ... this thing is SO MUCH FUN ! Since we got this, my ds is singing Iron
Man by Black Sabbath ... he sings "I am Iron Man, dadadada .... (yes, he just hums the rest, but he thinks it's great ... he wants me to buy him the CD ... ) I think I will be keeping this game home with me over the summer, instead of sending it to Grandma & Grampa's house with the DS !

Counting Down ...
I have a one track mind lately. I can honestly say that the first thing I do when I get to work in the morning is check the calendar for the countdown to the Enclavian Slumber Party. I don't have a lot to look forward to except this weekend in Boston. I began counting down at 180 days, and today we are sitting at 93 days until game day.
I have been running on little sleep lately ... Saturday morning is the only time I get to relax
because my DS will go downstairs and watch cartoons and let me be for awhile. Nothing has been helping ... Tylenol PM is not really my friend anymore ... it doesn't help me sleep ... So I end up popping in a movie after the 10:00 news ... and hope like hell it knocks me out until the alarm goes off ...
Well ... enough of this ... I feel like I have nothing to share ... my fingers will not spill the beans, so to speak ... and put my emotions on the page ...

Well, I realize it has been quite some time since I have been here. I have been busy with a lot of things and sometimes, to my dismay, I just don’t have the time to do anything for me. I guess that’s part of being a parent, or not …
Well … what shall I share with everyone ? There is not much new and exciting in my life.
I have been busy scrapbook shopping … got to buy all things baseball (MFY’s and Red Sox) for the Enclavian Slumber Party. I try to buy anything Red Sox … and I even found an embellishment of Fenway Park ! That was super exciting !!!
Oh … speaking of the Enclave trip … I got to talk to some of my fellow slumberers on the phone this weekend. It is so damn exciting ! No, don’t laugh … because I am serious ! I called Trot … and we visited … and she is cute and funny … and she’s my age … so I can’t wait to meet her. We conferenced on E for awhile … and then we hung up … Later that night I called Mellie … and we three-wayed with E then too ! … the three of us talked for 3 hours ! Then E left us and Mellie and I chatted for about another 2 …. Gosh … I swear that phone was glued to my ear and it was ringing the next day ! LOL !
I like to come here and just ramble … nothing is any sertain order … I just let it flow. That’s me. That’s who I am !
Did I mention that it is only 101 more days until game day ? Well, I guess I did now, didn't I ?!!?
Also ... let me take a moment to wish Doug Mirabelli a belated "WELCOME THE HELL BACK TO BOSTON !" Oh, god ... I love it ...

Tonight is the night ... OMG ... Johnny returns to Fenway ! Do you see him ... thinking "Why in the hell did I leave Boston?"
I am so worried about him that I am making myself sick ... I swear to you ... I just want him to be careful ... and I want the Yankess to lose ... I desperately want the Red Sox to cream those MFY's ... but in the same breath, I wish Johnny well. I don't want the fans to be cruel and rude. I just want to smother him with love, and tell him everything is going to be ok ... but I know it's not.
All I can say is ... Have a good first at bat, Johnny ... GO RED SOX !

Cough !
Well, today is just another day. I still have my cold … it’s just draggin on … it’s rather annoying.
Well, Johnny is going to be on the Martha Stewart show tomorrow … I will be taping it, of course. I heard he is going to be helping make a superb supper … Uh, Johnny, dear … you can come and cook dinner for me anytime !
The Cheer Johnny site is looking good, I even got my name on their with some comments I submitted to the author. YAY ! Does that mean I am famous … now that I am mentioned on another blog ??? LOL !
Well, seriously … I am so boring right now … it’s not funny … quit laughing ! You are hurting my feelings ! Although I have been following a bit of the Red Sox games so far … but being in Wisconsin, they are hard to catch. I do my best, so I try to watch the play-by-plays on the computer for day games. I just can’t concentrate on anything but the upcoming game day for my fellow Enclavians and I. Only 115 days until game day ! ! ! ! !
Yesterday I did a bit of Ebay shopping. I bough the most adorable baseball themed scrapbook. I also picked up a bunch of Red Sox embellishments and, uh, (cough) a couple of NYY things too … Well, I had to. Since we are going to see Johnny Damon play against the Red Sox it was the right thing to do … and he’s the reason we're going … and what if … WHAT IF we get to MEET him ????!!???? Then I will have to have a NYY’s page in the book. That’s all there is to it.
I mean, really, how cute is that book ???? It will be perfect ... and on the back it has the RS symbol ... (sigh ... )

Cheer Johnny on May 1, 2006 !
We all know that in 9 days from today Johnny Damon will return to Fenway Park in a Yankee uniform. There has been so much talk about things being thrown at him, booing, silence, turning their backs, etc ...
I disagree ! Johnny was a key player in helping the Boston Red Sox in "Reversing the Curse" and winning the World Series in 2004.
So, give the man some respect, stand up and clap your hands ...

Feelings ...
I have been quite the past few days. I have been dealing with my own inner demons. Way back to my post, I talked about someone I loved. Well, of course I always will have love for this person … but I can never talk to this person again. There is a long story behind it, and I will spare you the details … but after 5 months of there being no “us”, he is already engaged to be married … or so says his answering machine.
How does a grown man do this ? He’s already been divorced and he’s a little leary of women as it is, and now he’s getting married ???? WHAT THE “F” EVER !
I am itching to send an email saying “Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials, I really wish you a life full of misery and poor sex !” Non existent sex would be fine too … beggars can’t be choosers.
Right now I am in the “HATE” mode, and hope to move past it soon. With that being said, I will quote Bree from Desperate Housewives. “If you hate, you still have feelings for that person, you need to move on to feeling indifferent.” Well, that may not be exact, but that’s basically what she said … She is a wise woman.Anyhow … I am MOVING on … (wish me luck …) No more sitting around, thinking things will change … we will work it out … Nope, I am finished with that … and it’s about damn time if I must say so myself. I am too young to be pining for some jerk face loser …
Let’s talk about something upbeat, shall we ? Like Sir Johnny Damon ????? sigh … he is one hunky man … He’s going to be on Martha Stewart’s show on 4/26/06 … will have to tape that one … I hope they do something manly, like grill meat !
Now I know Martha is a good friend of, puke!, George Steinbrenners ... but she better make my man feel special ! TREAT HIM LIKE A KING !Only 120 more days until game day everyone. I cannot wait. I am needing something fun right now, and a nice shot of JD’s butt would do the trick ! The man just has a wonderful body ... he's so easy on the eyes ... makes the heart beat a little faster !
He was on ESPN w/ Dan Patrick on Tuesday ... had to get the headphones on so I could listen on my break at work .. They saved the best for last ... they do that a lot with him ... because they know they will have people waiting and listening until they hear beloved's voice over the airwaves ... My fellow Enclavians were keeping us updated with when he would be on ... THANKS LADIES ! You are great friends ...

Hump Day !
T.G.I.W !!! Yes, really ... I am glad it is Wednesday !
Owww ... My shoulder/back is killing me today as an effect from the whiplash when I was in that car accident. It almost hurts to breathe ... Not a fun day ... My poor co-workers are putting up with a LOT of whining today !
So ... I know you are all wanting to know where we stand on the countdown to Game Day at Fenway ! We are only 128 days away from the Enclave Game !! !! !! Wow ... I am so excited ... I just can't wait to see Johnny play ... I know he will be playing in pinstripes/grey ... but I still will get to see him !!! That is all that matters ... As long as I am talking about Johnny, I would like to say that I am pretty friggin irritated with all of these jerk-off's that are saying they should "BEAN JOHNNY" or "THROW BATTERIES" at him ... What is the matter with these people ? These are the people who loved him last year ... I realize they feel betrayed, burned ... but do we really need to resort to this act of violence ? There has been a lot of talk about giving JD a standing "O" on May 1st when he returns for his game at Fenway ... I think he deserves one ... I just don't want people to forget all that he did for the RS while he was there ... (am I beating a dead horse here ?)
And I just want to mention how great Johnny looked on David Letterman this week !!!

All I have to say is T.G.I.F !!!! That, and tonight is going to be filled with yummy Bloody Mary's !!! Mmmmmm ... yum !
Goodness, I haven't gone out for a long time with my friends, so I am overdue, and excited to be going ... I don't like to go out when the DS is home with me ... I prefer to stay home with him than to get him a babysitter or anything. I figure I am away from him all day while I am at work and he is at school, so our time together needs to count for something good ...
Well, people ... 133 days until game day ... I am so excited ... I have some wonderful things in the works, and for now I am just saying "Enclave friends, keep your fingers crossed for a wonderful treat !" It could be a little something, or a big something ... you won't know until we get there ! Or will you ? Hmmmm ....

Well, it's only Tuesday ... ** BORING **
So, my mother purchased the DS a go-kart ... It looks like a lot of fun ... I am posting a pic of it, except his has the roll cage so he can't go flying out. We have some land in Northern Minnesota, where we are from, w/ some sand/gravel pits ... perfect place for him to tear it up on this thing ! I am so jealous, I wish I had one of these things when I was little.
The Red Sox won yesterday !!! WAY TO GO BOY'S !!! I am so glad we started off the season with a win ... but, unfortunately, the yankess won too ... bummer ... It is so nice to see these boys back in uniform, getting dirty and sweaty, and ... uh ... I will stop there !
I had a dream last night, about my Johnny ... I lay drifting off to sleep, thinking about seeing Johnny in August ... and meeting my fellow Enclavians ...
"... we were all there, the Enclave members ... we saw Johnny at BP, and he invited us down to the field ... so we were like OK !!! ... we visited with him while he was swinging, he was laughing, genuinely enjoying himself, and then he said aloud that maybe we could have drinks after the game ... we all look at each other and say "HELL YES !" .... the game went on and he played well, but they lost !!!! We hurried to the hotel to change, and rushed out where we met him at some nice hotel/bar/restaurant ... and we visited for about an hour (in dream time !) and had 2 drinks ... all of us sitting around a big round table with him ... then Johnny said that it was fun, he was enjoying himself, and maybe we should keep it going and have a bite to eat ... so we went and sat at another table and ordered dinner ... he then hugged us goodbye ... "
There was nothing dirty about the dream ... just the realization that he is a great guy ... and some wishful thinking that he will want to meet us women in 136 days when we see him !
